Ukraine seizes major Russian town & nuke bomber CRASHES in double blow to Putin

- Vladimir Putin's humiliation over the Ukraine blitz has intensified with the biggest Russian town captured since World War Two falling to Kyiv's forces.
The hugely strategic Sudzha is now in the hands of Ukrainian troops, President Volodymyr Zelensky says.
Sudzha is a pivotal town due to the amount of Russian gas flowing through it.
Zelensky declared a military commanders office was now being established there as the rampage into Russia continues.
The Kursk town had a prewar population of 5,000, which would make it Ukraine's biggest triumph in Russia so far.
It would also be the largest Russian town takeover since Nazi Germany invaded the country in the Second World War.
In a second blow to Putin his $40 million nuclear-capable Tu-22 bomber jet crashed in Siberia today.
The valuable Russian aircraft came down in a fiery blaze after takeoff, marking another embarrassment for Vlad as Ukraine continues its successful invasion of Russia.
Witnesses said the Tu-22M3 nuclear bomber - planes used by Putin as a key part of his nuclear arsenal - broke apart in the sky before crashing amid fierce explosions.
Dramatic footage showed the moment an enormous fireball filled the sky as the aircraft came down.
The crew of four ejected safely before the high-tech plane hit the ground and exploded in Irkutsk, Siberia, according to reports.
The plane crashed near the Cheryomkhovsky district of the Irkutsk region, some 3,300 miles east of Moscow.

Are you from Ukraine, or from Russia? I've been curious as to a local viewpoint on this.
I've always suspected that the people of Russia have been lied to so much that it is difficult to believe anything that is on the news any more.
Personally, I don't have any issues with "Russian People". I actually feel quite bad for the average Russian who has no idea what is really going on and just forcefully gets sent to die.
I hope that sooner or later the Russian people will overthrow the Putin regime and start to take steps to ensure that no person or group can be a defacto autocratic leader.

Russian citizens in the occupied territory just got an upgrade in their quality of life with Ukraine in charge.

If Ukraine has the capacity to supply food and water to Russian citizens it is a massive hit on Russian moral, just as the American army had cakes and chocolate spare in WW2 it demonstrates that their supply line is in good order.

It was either not technically maintained properly or a technical item intercepted it.
The TU 22-M is a Nuclear Capable Bomber with swing wings ! However, it was designed in 1960 by Tupolev. In the RAF we would call IT “steam driven” because it’s so old, not “technical”. It probably fell apart from metal fatigue as it could have been around for 60 + years

In reality, these regions are traditionally Cossack lands, where many older residents still speak Ukrainian. The local population isn't resisting Ukrainian forces because, ethnically, they are Ukrainians too. There's no underground resistance or partisan movement against the Ukrainians in these areas, which indeed makes them "one people"-just not in the way Putin envisioned. If Ukraine were to reclaim all of its traditional lands, Ukraine's size would only increase.
