Thank you. My son is a janitor. He's legally blind, but he doesn't want to go on disability. He doesn't tell anyone, just does his job. He's respected, because he works hard, but being a janitor, isn't a glamorous job. He's my hero.
I'm a long haul trucker. I see public restrooms all the time. No one says anything when they're clean - but bitch to the moon if they aren't. I try to thank every janitor I see for doing a thankless job; surprising to see how it lifts their face and spirit!
Thank your son for me. He's a hero, too..
Janitors are heroes to me. I definitely notice at my job when we don't have one or it's his day off. Public restrooms can get pretty disgusting, and I've cleaned quite a few myself in jobs where there wasn't a janitor. It's always so nice to be able to use the restroom without having to worry about brushing up against some mess on the door or the floor etc that should have been in the trash can or flushed down the toilet. Not to mention all the trash that has to be emptied every day, cleaning the breakroom, making sure there's not nasty old food in the fridge etc. Janitors make everyone's life so much more pleasant. God bless you and your son.
@@TexJester-no8th Thank you for all you do! The pandemic made a lot of us realize how we've been taking you all for granted. We depend on truckers for so many things that we literally can't survive without. You endure long hours and long stretches away from your families. And thank you for taking the time to appreciate janitors. They really do make things a lot better for the rest of us. And you're so right about how a little appreciation can brighten someone's day.
respect
@@TexJester-no8th my Son works at a middle school, way dirtier than a public bathroom😊😊 he works for the Government, so he has perks, health insurance. I always want to thank Truckers, they have saved my life, been kind when I needed it, and made me feel safe on the roads. Much respect, for you.
Thank you, I am a welder of 43 years. I work full time and take care of my mom. Thank you for honoring we everyday people
3rd generation veteran here who works 12-16hr shifts 6 days a week to provide a good life for my wife and kids. We’re the faceless and nameless masses who make this country great, not the politicians on TV or Botox celebrities on TikTok/Instagram. We sacrifice so much as we love our families and our country. We faceless and nameless masses, Thank You Tom MacDonald for loving us back. ❤

Thanks for your service mister. I don’t like rap/hip hop but this is a good song because it has a good message people actually relate to. More of this kind of message is what we need.

Thank you to the paramedic who tried to save my daughter and cried with me when she passed away. He truly tried and truly cared.

GOD bless you Tom❤ you're so awesome ❤
Disabled nurse here. Ive had cancer, 2 strokes, and a heart attack.
You sing my heart out and inspire me with hope.
JESUS loves you ❤
I wanted to say thank you for this song, Mr. Macdonald.
I was in a near fatal car accident back in 2015 & a firefighter EMT saved me & pulled me the sunroof. Then handed me off to the medical EMTs & I was in a coma for a month.
Doctors, nurses & certified nurse assistants care for me & kept me alive.
Also had a cop help escorted the EMTs to a different hospital.
I will always support the first responders, I am still alive & safe because of them.
Thank you, to the first responders out there & to the fire fighter who got to me just in time.
I am a janitor. People often mock us for not being more. Sometimes it makes me sad that i'm considered a low citizen. But then i remember Lord Jesus Christ was born in a dirty place with animals, he was a mere carpenter, walked the earth as a poor and humble man. I wouldn't want it to be any different for myself.
Thanks for your song man, it means a lot ♥
Thank you for being a honest hardworking individual , we see ya 😎⚡😎
Anyone that look down on others are the one beneath the others. Maybe they have more money then you, but the fact that they look down on you prove that they are lower in the brain department. No good peoples look down on others, because anyone with a good brain know that any jobs no matter how useless it may seem at first glance is important in some shape or form, if it was not, those job would not exist in the first place, since no one would want to spend money for job that is of not use."
He was also homeless. Jesus said, "The foxes have holes, and the birds have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head."
You are not a low citizen! Thanks for all you do for the kids!
Why would anybody knock a janitor. I think anybody that does should have to do your job for 1 day. Thank you for everything you do!!
Crane Operator here, Tom!
I work sometimes 84 hours a week from my family. This song made me tear up man. THANK YOU!

Thank you, sir, for serving both our great country and your community.
My father was a cop. And because of him I have mad respect for LEO’s all around our country. And for our military ( he was in the Navy and Army - in the Army he was in Korean War) .
What goes on around our country with the leftists crapping on LEO’s makes me so disgusted.
Thank you for your outstanding service to our country and our community thank you 🙏🏻

Thank you. I wish my late husband could have seen this. He died too soon due to Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. But he was also an electric lineman, a devoted father and a wonderful mate. Professional truck driver for 39 years. 3.5 million accident and ticket free miles and was always glad to get back home to my wife. Thanks, Tom.
WOW, I take my hat off to you and all truck drivers. That is a lot of hours spent behind the wheel.
People take trucking for granted. You guys are literally the blood the courses through the veins of this country. Without you guys, we'd have empty shelves, unsupplied restaurants, useless online stores, etc. Never forget that!

I'm a school bus driver for special needs ❤ I'm truly blessed to be a part of these children's lives❤❤
@@dianejiminez1229 HERO🙏
I commend you for all you do for those children. YOU make a difference.
My mom used to drive the school bus for the handicapped and special education students in the county school. I used to ride her bus to school if I wanted to sleep late, because the high school I attended was right across from the Middle School where the handicapped and special education students had their own school, a separate building from the Middle School, but on the same campus. She’d drop her students off at their school on the Middle School campus, and then take me across the road and let me off at the High School. I remember being picked on by some of my school mates hanging around outside the High School before the bell rang to head to your home room class. They were just joking around, of course, not trying to be mean, but still saying something about me riding the “short bus”. That was almost 40 years ago, and I still remember those children on mom’s bus, and how sweet and loving they were. One girl was in a wheelchair, and couldn’t speak, but she could understand everything you said to her. Her parents dressed her so pretty every day, and she would just grin from ear to ear when you told her how pretty she was. She had been left handicapped because of a school bus accident when she was younger, I believe. I remember one girl who was so funny because she called everyone “fart head”, and she would laugh so hard. That was my mom’s favorite bus route. She later took a bus route driving for the students in the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, because I think the special needs school on the Middle School campus was torn down, and and those students were relocated. It was a long time ago, and my memory isn’t as sharp as it once was. But I am thankful that I got to spend some time with those students, because they made a lasting impression on me, and I have a special affection towards people like them, because they are precious. It’s why I believe that all human life has tremendous value, and it should not matter if a babe in the womb has what this world calls a “defect” when it comes to them being “worthy” of life. All human life is important to God, made in His image, and that alone makes every human life “worthy” of being born. It’s not for us to decide which human life has value, and which doesn’t, and to even think that we should have that power to decide the value of another human life, or when it should end, is man trying to usurp God’s authority, and it’s wrong.
Bless you 🙏❤

For 10 years I was an EMT and trauma tech in an ER. I was then sidetracked in the tech world for many years before I "retired" and started my present job as a job coach for adults with intellectual disabilities. Coaches go to their jobs with our clients giving them the opportunity to contribute and live somewhat independent lives with dignity. These are the people you may see at your grocery store, fast food restaurant, or school cafeteria. Those I have worked with in these service fields both EMS and vocational rehabilitation really are the (previously) unsung heroes, whom I admire greatly.
Thank you. I've been a contractor for over 35yrs. The first time I can remember anyone saying something so simple...."thank you". Had to listen a few times but I thank you!!
Love the shout to the welders... welder here, father of 3 girls and my wife is a stay at home mom. The struggle is real, the hours can be long... thanks for the shout out!😊
This song made me weep. There is no longer pride and glory for the hard working blue collar backbone of this country. There is a young family next door to me, the father is a fabricator and part time mechanic. He works his ass off so his wife can stay home and raise their 3 boys. It gives me so much pride to see young people commit to good values and strong families, because we, families are under attack at ever turn. God bless every hard working red blooded American that reads this. My wife and I with our 6 boys pray for you every morning.

I'm sorry y'all are made to feel that way. It's so, so wrong. I know there are Americans like me out there that would never disparage our veterans. Two war disabled veteran here.
I made it thru my first tour in one piece,
But not the second.
Tho you wouldn't guess my struggles by my appearance.
I'd do it again if i could.
The people you highlight in this song are the TRUE HEROES tho.
Yeah, sure, i was in the military. Great.
But if it weren't for the people who help me in the stores, build the roads i drive on, and save my life during emergencies, (to name too few) I wouldn't still be here.
They are shocked, when they learn this younger guy is a disabled vet.
And, after they say
"Thank you for your service."
(whether they agreed with the war or not)
and i REPLY
"No, thank you for making my life after the war possible."
they are not sure what to say.
They didn't think about their contribution.
What's funny is i didn't think about mine either. I knew, like they do, there's a job that needs done and it gets done.
I'm grateful for everyday people.
DESPITE our differences.
Without them i could not exist.
They truly are HEROES.
Thank you, brother for your service from a fellow veteran jarhead.Proud to be a brother
Tom, I am a 68-year-old woman, and the soundtrack of my youth included Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles. I never imagined that any rap artist would resonate with me, but your music does. As my generation used to say, your music is awesome! Keep it up and may God bless you.

Thank you to the construction worker who stopped working by the side of the road to take off his hat and pay his respects when our funeral procession passed by. As an Army veteran and former trucker, i wasn't expecting this song to hit me so hard on an emotional level like this. This actually made me tear up. I work with IBEW Distribution and Transmission Linemen. Men I respect as much as I respect my father. Blue collar workers, trades people are what keeps this nation keep going. Any blue collar worker deserves extra doses of respect for their contributions to society. Working alongside Linemen, and my contribution is something I am so very passionate about. I work a lot of hours. When the lights are out, I'm right there helping get those men to those locations. My kids have lost a lot of time with me. As a mother that is extremely hard. But what makes it better is coming home and having your youngest tell you about their school day and it was about what their parents do and she chose to speak about me, "my mom helps people get their lights back". To some, what I do may be nothing. But without the blue collar and their support systems at work and at home, this county would be on its knees. Thank you to every single one of you out there doing your part - no matter how unglamorous.

Thank you! My husband was a Vet and died in 2018. I'm in Healthcare. I love this song just as much as your others. I'm proud to be a part of the HOG family!
Tom thank you for this song. Brought me to tears to hear this song. Tears of joy to see someone thanking the hero’s that no one ever sees but if they were not there you and I both would not have food on the shelves or have clean floors to walk on. Just imagine if someone was not cleaning the floors of your grocery store. I also want to take all the farmers that produce the food we eat. I am from a small town of 200 people. And that is what I grew up knowing. I would love to do a remix with a verse about farmers in it. But you got so many good ones for sure. Thank you Tom for all this amazing song. American flags fly high. Always remember freedom is never free.
Thank you Tom MacDonald! I own a cleaning company and I employ a fair amount of people. We often are overlooked and asked to clean up messes up that so many people would refuse to do. Often the people in this industry are looked down upon so sharing a line in your song with how they feel and what they do placed a smile on my face. As we can't say what we feel to clients.
As a welder/fabricator building dump trucks, snow plows, and flat beds I appreciate the recognition for the people the get up everyday to go to a job they hate to support their families and keep the world moving.
Thank you, Tom. Janitor here, man, that line hit hard. I'm going to school to be an electrician while maintaining my family. My wife's an LVN. We both appreciate your song and music.
Thank you for all you do Sir! Without you things wouldn’t run 🙏🏻🫡😘
@@aquamansanchez8784 I believe it's called custodial arts. seriously jokes aside, thank you for your hard work.
As someone who volunteered to clean the washrooms at a few different jobs due to thinking other employees wouldn't really get in and make it clean, I appreciate what you do daily, it's not always glorious yet always necessary.
I'm a fourth generation teacher. You can instantly tell a school with a good custodian from a school without one.
I do my best to always let them know they are appreciated.
Yes, I can't lie. The song hit a chord in me. Yes, a well-deserved thank you to all, that is rarely heard.
I love you Tom macdonald ❣️❣️
Tom, thank you brother! As a cop and a U.S. Marine I thank you for this song. My two sons are firefighters, I was also a volunteer firefighter. You are a hero to me as well!! God bless you and keep singing about the truth!

You make the working class people feel seen. ❤
Tower climber here, thanks Tom. My job is hard, it hurts, sometimes it feels like it never ends. Then I come home and spend the rest of the day being dad. Feels good to be appreciated occasionally.

Husband, father, truck driver here, we appreciate you more than you will ever understand Tom, praying for you always much love.
Thank you for keeping america moving
Thank you because people forget everything we eat, everything we wear and most things that we do are provided by truck drivers. Thank you 😊
Thank you for helping us to keep on going! You be safe out there! You’re very much needed in so many lives! 🙏💜
Thank you 👏
Please go to the doctor and get checked out if you can. My dad drove truck for 20 years, and he died unexpectedly from a blood clot that traveled from his leg to his heart, and doctors think it was related to sitting for so long
This American appreciates your hard work💕
oil field worker here and we appreciate that some people see the sacrifice and not just the money
I want to believe that you also see the hero you continue to be for millions. It's hard to go from an everyday person to Mr. Tom MacDonald.... thank you for all you do and especially for this. I pray that your loved ones tell you the same thing you are telling us. The fires we both endure will save people's lives in different ways.
I was in the marines and I constantly try to make it I feel as the world failed me but all glory to Jesus Christ as long as I get to glorify him in my suffering it was worth it ,I just hope someone one day can give me a chance in life to preach without a degree
Thank you...from a retired Police Dispatcher!!!!! ❤
Single mom of 4 working overtime in a supermarket trying to give my kids a better tomorrow... This song made me cry! We are not appreciated most of the time but we thank those who remember we are humans too! Everyone that works hard just to bring food to their table, to give their families a better life leaving everything behind to start again... MY RESPECT TO ALL OF US! ❤❤❤
As a carpenter for 30 years, thank you Tom.

Navy Vet and former firefighter here. I've gotten praise and flak for being both, but to those who gave me flak over the years for doing a thankless job, just remember your freedom is protected by people who aren't looking for praise or a thank you and could care less what you think of them. We do it for our families, our friends, and most often a higher ideal that you will never understand. I personally did because I believe a person has a responsibility to protect our freedom and our communities when things go sideways, be it a conflict with another nation or a fire that starts while you are asleep. What holds a community together are all the people doing those thankless jobs, the tasks most people would never dream of doing, and doing it because it has to be done by someone. Everything in our lives that is cushy or convenient is produced and maintained by people not looking for a thank you but are doing it because they have to or they need to, never forget that and never think the world owes you something. The problem with the world today is people are never grateful for what they have and simply keep demanding more. Thanks for the song Tom, Love your music. 🤟👏
As a veteran, this brought tears to my eyes...
Thank you Tom. Keep spittin truth. God bless you man.
From a family of nurses, paramedics, and fire fighters we appreciate the support. We don’t choose these paths for the praise, but a thank you is always appreciated. And in return I would like to say on behalf of my family thank you Tom. We appreciate you. ❤
Thank you all for you Care and your Service🙏🏻🫡🇺🇸😘
❤
I served 25 years in the Army, served in numerous war zones, and current Police officer. I want to truly thank you Tom for your gratitude, not for myself but for my comrades that never came home from foreign shores and the men and women who pin on the badge to help this country be a better place. To all the people that run to the danger and make this country great again, I salute you ! 🇺🇲
Usmc vet here. Thank you for this song tom. It means a lot to me.
Thank you @TomMacDonald for this beautiful song. I'm a truck driver and I've been going through some stuff lately. Your song made me tear up and smile at the same time. I needed to hear it. I love all your work brother. God Bless you and make His face shine upon you. We've needed someone like you with a voice to speak for us for a long time ❤
Thank you Tom from a paramedic who has enjoyed so much of your music. It is an honor to serve my community. May God continue to bless you.
