Still have the original factory brake pads, they’re at50% wear. Had to replace front wheel bearings from running to hard in desert sand and a module switch in the 4 wheel drive. maybe this is the place to ask, maybe its not. But I own a 2006 lbz duramax and have been having a problem with it. everytime i turn my tuner up to race someone once it rolls so much coal my check engine light comes on and then it goes into limp mode. any suggestions to fix this? I thought lbz's were suppose to be fast and mines slow asf.

Well there’s many factors, you can’t just slap a 300hp tune on a stock truck and think it’s track ready doesn’t matter if it’s a lbz or not. Do you got a built transmission? Do you got a good proper tune cuz there are plenty of shitty tunes that will make your truck run like shit and was it done by a professional? Lastly are your injectors good cuz sounds like it could possibly be a injector issue or the tune itself. Cuz while rolling coal maybe cool it’s actually very bad and unhealthy for your engine and can lead to many problems like injectors for instance. I’m not a mechanic by any means but I’ve done a lot of research on Diesel truck and engines cuz I’m so fascinated by them but ya sounds like your tune or injectors

Meanwhile my LBZ is 100% stock. The trucks that are lifted and have wide tires look cool but I tow all the time, I go wood cutting with it and some trails those tires wouldn’t make it lol. My LBZ gets used like a real truck but to each their own. Some of your guys set ups look dope though.

There's one part you're wrong on the transmission is the same with very few very minor differences its all in the valve body you can convert an 01-05 with a 6 speed valve body and tcm

      Basically a less perfected lbz
More prone to issues and less power
If you can pick up a cheaper one and do a little work to it paired with a tune you basically have an lbz
