LAKE CONSTANCE - A Sea Kayak Weekend to finally start the 2020 Season!

- Hello there!
Since the Corona related travel bans have cancelled quite all of our sea kayaking plans for early 2020, I just could not wait for the borders to re-open. So I used the first opportunity to meet my swiss friends, for a long Corona-safe kayaking weekend on Lake Constance, directly at the border to Germany.
Of course this film is not comparable to the documentaries about our more challenging sea kayak expeditions, but it was great to reconnect and to start into one of the most unusual sea kayaking seasons I have ever experienced...
Nevertheless, I hope you can enjoy the few minutes of kayaking, camping and the outdoors :)

Haha, the stove is actually a mongolian stove the nomads use over there. My swiss pals use those on kayak tours, since they actually fold up and can be bound on the back of a kayak. I'm not sure if the import/sell those, but you can contact Yuri from moryak.ch, he will be happy to help you out!

Enjoyed your video! We are trying to go tent camping this weekend in Lake Constance. Can you tell me more about camping in Frauenfeld or the surrounding area... perhaps any suggestions on where my family can set up a large tent? I would greatly appreciate it!

We were camping on private property of a friends friend 'cause wild camping is not allowed unfortunately. Best way would probably be to search for official camping sites, I saw there are some promising looking sites around Lake Constance. Hope you find a great spot at the water!

Tom Vetterl Still in preparation fase.. The trails I’d like to film are closed because of very long dry period.. Hopefully going to the Alps by the end of the month so I’m planning to film there aswel!
Where do you plan do go?
If they officially open the borders for us Dutchies we go to Galtür (Austria), otherwise we’ll go to the area around Interlaken (Switzerland)!
