- Great Cruise News! MSC Cruises took delivery of their first World-class ship, MSC World Europa, at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard St. Nazaire, France, on October 24.
MSC World Europa a World-class cruise ship built for MSC Cruises at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
As MSC World Europa is powered by LNG, it would reportedly allow her to sail with a 99% decrease in sulfur dioxide emissions, an 85% decrease in nitric oxide emissions, and a 20% decrease in carbon dioxide emissions, when compared with non-LNG-powered ships. She is also the world's first ship to implement an LNG-powered fuel cell. The 50-kilowatt fuel cell demonstrator aboard the ship will incorporate solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology and use LNG to produce onboard electricity and heat and reportedly further reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% when compared with ships powered by conventional LNG engines.

Wtf dit was de beste ervaring ooit in mijn leven, eerst was ik op de Grandiosa boot maar toen het eten werd gemaakt werd er soms overheen gekwijld, ook ging ik daar naar de kapper en werd ik flink jalaka gezet. Ik gaar zwemmen en opa’s en oma’s gingen op mij spugen. World Europa een echte aanrader. Tot volgend jaar!

A cruise ship is only about taking you to different parts of the world & while it does you can relax getting there. These things are just floating hotel entertainment centres & where they go barely gets a mention. I'm off to the Mediterranean for 32 days calling in to all the wonderful sights you can wish for. The ship is Ambience & has 1400 guests & 700 crew approx.

Many thanks to the wonderful video! This ship is quite innovative, even though very well preserving past MSC identity! My unique concern would be the apparent lack of some more regular bar/lounge opportunities in favour of some activities that may or may not to prove a success themselves like the tea house.
Permit me a question regarding deck 5 MDR: Is there a bar of some sort where people can gather before they doors open for your dinner time? Or how will the process to be handled there? I'm asking this because on the MSC's website deck plans, apart the space for the MDR, we can only see cabins to the front and what seems like crew areas to the back.
You can gather anywhere you like, there is lots of bars and lounges with live music, you can just check daily program and sit in the bar with your favorite music.

The world class is a statement
It looks very modern. A lot of area remind me of RCI ships but with more classic, stylish furnishings. I generally don't like cruise ship carpets but these floors are typically Italian style. I'm looking forward to sailing on her in 2023.
