- For the 1st time in history, the Women's World Champion holds the World Champion to draw as Ju Wenjun draws her game in the final round against Ding Liren.
This was also the 1st time the World Champion and Women's World Champion face off since Magnus Carlsen and Hou Yifan in the 2015 Tata Steel Chess Tournament.

Fiona: Congratulations!
Ju Wenjun: Ok 🗿
Lol that sh*t had me laughing. She's like why are you congratulating me i didn't even win? 🤨🤔
That was hilarious 😂
She is so polite...
She’s Last place and ding is nearly last place 😂. Fraud WCC
@@ndnd7614 But she is not last place. And Ding is not "nearly" last place, either. Did you not look up the tournament's results before commenting?
I love Ju Wenjun so humble and respectful 😀❤️
Glad to know Ding Liren's mom is very good at chess I like that ❤😀
she is wholesome....❤🔥
Always so modest
I think this is a very rare case where a female player draws with the world champion in the classic time control. So far, only Vera Menchik with Max Euwe, Judit Polgar with Garry Kasparov and Hou Yifan with Magnus Carsen have done it. Now it's Ju Wenjun with Ding Liren (and she was playing black).
As for her result in the tournament, although it could have been a bit better (she had her chances against Parham and Anish), I still think it was very good. She finished in the top 10, starting from 14th place and with a huge rating gap and she should get like +10 elo now. She can be pleased with herself. It's also very nice to hear that her next classical tournament will be a very strong open again.
I think it was a pre arranged draw though
@@claudiog7692Why?
Guys..he is sick..really sick...look at him. He is struggling mentally and its a drama in front of your eyes and Nepo was hinting at it after the game. Its not his chess..he broke mentally and never recovered
didnt you listen to what Fiona said? this is the first time a WWC has drawn a WC
@@TheMaestromMephisto WWC, yes. However, I meant the case in which any woman (not WWC) draw with WC.
She is Amazing
Top 3 strongest chess players in the world:
3. Ding Liren
2. Magnus Carlsen
1. Ding Liren's mom
I wanna see she playing lol
lmao ..... I noticed that none of these Chinese GMs can speak Coherently Although they are quite polite which is typical China people
I watched her and Lei Tingjie in the WCC, they played at high accuracy. Underestimating her would be a mistake, ask Alireza 😅
She is so adorable ❤
Lovely interview!! 👏👏🙏🙏☺️☺️
Once again a very interesting interview. Great rapport between them, with Ju Wenjun sharing her thoughts and interesting observations. I didn't know Ding's Mom was such a strong chess player! In any event , looking forward to Ju Wenjun's participation in the Tepe Sigman and Co tournament in Sweden starting 27 April!
Ju is truly underrated. Holding her own against 2700+ players. MVP of the tournament.
Ding wanted the draw what are you talking about
@@tristan7720 Okay what about the other 12 rounds lol. If I'm having a bad tournament with all the pressure of the world on me (like Ding) I'd be trying to recoup myself with some draws.
L' MVP del torneo è uno solo: il vincitore. Sempre.
@@mattmiller7832 he didn't prepare for an attack on Wenjun. She'd not be able to defend him in decent form.
I don't know why you people love her so much but you are just overestimating her more than a lot.
@@tristan7720 How are people 'overestimating' her by pointing out the simple fact that she placed 10th as the bottom seed in an open tournament averaging 2700+ strength?
No one said anything crazy, I think it's very reasonable to say Ju Wenjun is underrated. No normal 2550 GMs are scoring like this against top players.
Great performance 👏👏
I love her
Ju Wenjun🔥🔥🔥
She predicted Wei Yi correctly.
"okay" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
她太棒了!
She is so cute and soft 😊 now I wanna to see Ding s mom playing 😅👀 love her mind she didnt understand why the congratulation if she didnt win 💪🏾 she is a champion, a draw it's not something to celebrate 😊
She should be invited to more of the men's tournaments
Basterebbe abolire la divisione femminile e lasciare in vigore unicamente la divisione Open aperta a tutti.
There is no men tournament!
There are woman tournaments and open tournaments
Great player and she deserves a much higher FIDE rating.
Why? She got some gifted points by Ali and Ding. Her performance looks better than it was. She's an ordinary 2550 elo player why are y'all simping so hard
@@tristan7720 An ordinary 2550 elo player who won against alireza, possibly the greatest prodigy of modern generation. An ordinary 2550 player who had a winning position against Nepo, consecutive world championship contender, a winning position against anish giri, who is currently leading the tournament. And u still question someone who says she deserves a higher rating? Pathetic
you dont deserve rating wtf. you play games and either you win and get rating or you lose and lose rating. its not that complicated...@@azfarabdul1468
E allora?
All Credits to Ju for holding against one of the strongest chess players in the world. But for me there is only one true male world champion and things would have quite diff if he was against her.
I think she did a nice job. I'm sure she'll improve. She just have to play against men more often, that's all.
Magoos - Smirks, "I wouldnt have let that happen." Ps - It's a joke.
It's a joke but it's a true joke.
' magnoo
0:38 Surprised that it's the first time in history and not just this tournament that the WWC drew the WC
4:08 Surprised by how strong Ding Liren's mom is
Well she is undoubtedly one of the best chess players out there and on a given day she has the potential to defeat anybody...no second thought about that..but is ding liren really the world champion..I mean statistically yes...but we all know that magnus is still the best player in the world..defeating carlsen is a bigger feat than defeating the current world champion...nonetheless...Ding is also a very good player...Respect to him as well..
Ding didn't even try
Somesing 😮😅
We need Magnus back ASAP (aka the Honored One)!
No, the sport doesn't need a specific player
The heck does "Honored One" even mean?
magnus dont want to come back
First of all he's not the honoured one plus we don't want one horse race that makes chess boring in general so let him retire so we can enjoy seeing other players compete for win like this
This is not the first time a female player draws the world champion. GM Nino Batsiashvili drew magnus carlsen by the way.
But it's first women's world champion who did it, of course there were others females
Surely Ding is creating lots of history 💀
London system for instance. I think Ding didn't play for a win, after all he had no chance to win this title, and thus why bother.
I think ding just made a draw out of respect for his compatriot. Wei yi showed no mercy though 😂
Oh, come on.
One reason may be that Wei Yi (some days ago) was looking at a high placement in the end. Today he has tied with a few others as 1st place.
Ding is not well. That's why he doesn't performing well.
she looks perpetually confused.
If she had won she should be given the WC title 😂
Hopefully she will achieve that title.
@@darguerra1991bro she went -3 she ain’t close
She didn't play with magnus 😭
Y’all really just be praising anything even a -3
Let's praise your achievements then, what unique feat did you accomplished this year?
@@renemichaelk Nice, during the pandemic I had a very bad depression and just left the thras there accumulating ,when I got back to living there was larvae EVERYWHERE! Below the sink, in the refrigerator, on the food counters, I have no idea how I was blind and didn't saw them before, it's actually amazing how depression works.
Anyway, you keep going king! Don't let the trash beat you 💪
Come one bro ding wanted the draw from the beginning there's nothing to be praised
Last in table
Oh no..... She must be crying nd wiping her tears with the world championship medal 😢
She played far better than her rating, which is all we can ask from anyone
She isn't, Max Warmerdam is worse
Edit: actually now, taking into account the supporting points, she is top 10 because she had the lowest rating among all players with the same amount of points.
No, he was ahead of Max, with the same score as Parham and Jordan, it's excellent
@@ruanpablo2082 *she
Now she know her place which is bottom of the result 🤣😂🤩🤐😅😂🤣😁😄😃
She'd beat you in 10 moves. 😅😂🤣😀🤣😀🤣😀🤣
Same place like Parhan a 2740 player and Jordan Foorest Tata Steel champion a few years ago.
300 elo :
What have you achieved in life?
1: She isn't at the bottom. 2: There always will be a bottom player. 3: I'm sure she's very sad after seeing your comment lol
