Huge Georgia fan and Steelers fan here. We got a steal boys. Daijun will be a 10 year vet in the league. He’s not the most explosive back, but he’s extremely shifty, instinctual, and always makes the first man miss. He can get skinny through very tight spaces and he’s on the smaller side so defenders often lose him in the traffic. He’s going to be a great piece for us.
Vision reminiscent of Le'Veon (NOT saying he's LBell) and his running style harkens back to Darren Sproles a bit with that quick-cut, open-field twitchiness!
"he lowkey runs like Bell" I was bout to comment that then saw your comment glad not the only who saw that.. his footwork/running style are the same bruh
He seems so patient and fast at the same time when it comes to finding the hole reminds me a little of bells backfield ability being behind the line of finding the gap
Huge Ga fan And Steelers fan. I played ball with him in high school. He played linebacker and running back in Jv. He hits hard and is very hard to bring down not to mention very shifty descisive and elusive
He'll make the practice squad at best, unless we trade Warren for whatever reason. Already got Najee, Jaylen, and Patterson is making the 53 purely based on his KR experience. Now that I'm typing about it, I guess Patterson doesn't have to get any RB reps, so maybe we shouldn't count him as a RB, in which case, there may be room for this guy on the 53. Either way, he's great to have in the room, especially if Jaylen gets hurt.
I honestly think Cordararele Patterson, and McCole Pruitt are here to show by example how to run Arthur Smiths offense at their age that's the obvious motive, because you definitely don't scoop up the top udfa rb if you don't plan on him being in a backup role. You can't possibly expect MyCole Pruitt to make the team over Darnell Washington, Pat Friermuth, or Connor Heyward he's definitely going to be tutoring Connor Heyward who's similar to him but much younger and super talented McCole is the perfect mentor in camp
Poeple under estimate some of these dudes that play on superteams in college. I really like this guy a lot. since Kahn has taken over, I think he is going to be Tomlin's and our saving grace since the killer bee's and Shazier fell off. Times were good, times are gunna be greater here soon steeler nation. Stairway to 7, dont forget. we have been stellar in drafting and our udfa's as of late. Najee will be back, and we will sign fields long term and save some cash on him too. lets go!
Situational halfback at best. Agreed, he does run like Jaylen. There is no beef in the film and front end of NFL defenses will chew him up. Special teams? Maybe, if he can hold on to the ball I'd love to say, "Metcalf who?" Eric Metcalf, that is to say. Beating the Steelers with two TD returns, a kickoff and a punt, is the only Steeler loss I appreciate to this day.
He's healthy, fast, shifty with good vision... A tough runner he is not... He goes down after initial contact... He's certainly fighting for that 3rd spot.. And I'm ok with that.
His style and abilities remind me a bit of a young Ray Rice.. As in a shifty cut back runner. He makes up for lack of high end speed by running smart, looking down field.
@@mike2687 I didn't say that he needs to be a starter to be a part of the trio I was Talking About in general because rn we don't know who is going to be WR2 & 3 behind GP
Your name is very appropriate......you are ABSOLUTELY "TRIPPY" on this one.....ZERO chance that happens......dude will get cut and MAYBE get signed to the practice roster at BEST.
I don’t care for this pick up. We already have JWarren #30 I think to have a fast bowling ball & a bruiser to counteract is better than 2 RB’s that’s the same 🤷🏾♂️
@@reesereese6510 he can be a Steeler all he wants but we are not paying two running’s backs starting back money and Jaylen is gonna want starting money when it comes time.
looks like a good player but he wont make the roster unless we decide to carry 4 RBs. 1 Najee starter 2. Jaylen Warren. C Patterson is our third RB/WR/KR.
This guy looks awesome butttt the running back room is full of talent Najee Harris Jaylen Warren and Patterson do you think we would keep 4 running backs on the roster
Cordarelle Patterson is not really a running back. He is more like a swiss army knife player who can play kick return, punt return, wide receiver, and running back. He is not used solely as a runningback, and it's more likely that Steelers use him as a hybrid player of sorts, including kick-off returns. He'll only play heavy amounts of snaps at runningback if Harris or Warren get injured. Edwards probably only makes the practice squad if he is good, but they'll want at least 4 players who can play running back in case of injury.
Practice squad piece in case of emergency injury. I mean.....ANYONE who gets to Georgia and gets playing time is obviously a very good football player. People see these "highlight" videos and freak out thinking dudes are automatic stars. "Beast" ???? C'mon man. If he is a "Beast" he would have been drafted. I could show you HUNDREDS of "highlight videos" of dudes that will make them look like "beasts"......temper your enthusiasm people....there is a REASON he wasn't drafted. The Jaylen Warrens happen but are few and far between.
Unless he is a special teams superstar he won't make the team. The Steelers only keep 3 RBs and they aren't getting rid of Najee, Jaylen, or Cordarrelle

Daijun looks just like Jalen Warren. I love it.
He actually looks like Najee and jalen mixed
because he’s bigger than jalen but smaller than Najee
And he’s faster than Najee but slower than jalen
That's what I said he's going to be Jaylen backup in two years
Dude side shifts with commitment...then runs through....nice! HERE WE GO!
If he develops a jab step. That’s Leveon Bell reincarnated. That jab step fooled many a players
Daijun looks like he got that Dawg in him. No wonder he played for Georgia. He runs like a natural born Steeler.
Vision reminiscent of Le'Veon (NOT saying he's LBell) and his running style harkens back to Darren Sproles a bit with that quick-cut, open-field twitchiness!
I don’t like to make comparisons but his running STYLE reminds of of bell not super fast but is patient and the way he jukes etc.
💯
"he lowkey runs like Bell" I was bout to comment that then saw your comment glad not the only who saw that.. his footwork/running style are the same bruh
As long as he doesn't fumble I'm good with him.
Definitely not trying to say that he'll be as talented or as productive as Bell. But watching his tape did show a similar running style.
If you look he’s really making the holes himself
He's good either way if he makes the team or not I've seen he deserves to be in the NFL 🖤💛
His behind the line jump cuts remind me of Bell. I like how he can delay until a hole opens or explode thru one already there.
Will a step of hesitation hurt him in the NFL?
I hope the now OL can open things up for Najee. He's being average 1k yards or more per year with an average OL. Love this pick though

Priest Holmes jr. Look him up if not familiar, dude was a god in the early 2k’s.
Dude was a pain in the ass to defense units
He is as tough as nails.
He has the Jaylen Warren style of play!💯
That’s what I was thinking! Love these type of backs they’re dangerous, we’re just reloading 💪🏾😎

After this video I’m excited to see him in the black and gold. Now let’s go take the AFC crown and put it back where it belongs. Here we go Steelers!
Jus saw y he didn't want his 5th year picked up this kids could b a good back

It looks like he has good vision, uses his blockers well, and has a little burst.
He reminds me of Warren 👍👍
Looks like a keeper😊
Good pickup
🔥
I like what I see. Can he pick up the blitz and contribute on special teams? That will make or break him.

Great pick up
Very q😊uick juke moves. It get to the hole fast. Runs hard on 😅first contact. Great pick up. Could it be a three headed monster this year?
He will need to show special teams value this year to have a shot of making the team. Steelers usually don’t keep 4 backs.
lol I see the picture got a Jaylen warren project going
Marshall Faulk feet like J warren
Return man !
He’s under 5’10” with a 4.71 40 so let’s not get too crazy. If he can push the Maryland bust McFadden off The roster it will be a bonus.
What was warrens 40?
As long as Edward’s fix some fumbles. He’ll be good.
So we got another Jaylen Warren type back? Thats what i see from him. Maybe alil less speed. But still the shifty type back like Warren provides.
WELCOME TO THE STEEL CITY DAIJUN EDWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's a chain mover.
Loads of jump Cutts like J. Warren
He runs almost like Warren
We gonna have a crazy rb trio
He has to win a starting position first

You have got to be kidding me.......seriously dude???
But, that was in college
This is where the Big Boys Play
I'm sorry, he'll get released
And sign with a better team
He will likely become Jaylen warrens replacement in a year or two when his contract is up.
Nah Jaylen is a Steeler. He represents everything it means to be a Steeler and we are getting back to the Steeler way
