Wow! I didn't know or realize that Zhu Zhengting is that kind of person. I mean he is so cool and in my heart, my respect for him has become higher. Syazwani NH yeaa and tbh, its true that the addition of 2 extra trainees will affect the original ones of the group because they will have less parts, but it affects zhengting too and their stage wont be as perfect as it could have been but he cares more about those girls than he does for himself and he really is a good person :)
I’m so glad our Zhengting has become such a respectful and mature mentor himself it’s so nostalgic looking back to him being such a crackhead two years ago on idol producer with our yuehua boys but most of all he’s still the sweetest most caring person out there our nine percents 🐷Zhengting has done well !!

Zhengting went to produce 101 s2 and got eliminated on the 2nd round of eliminations, then went to idol producer and won. I think he's been through a lot and it makes me really happy that he's still very humble and understanding enough to give these girls a chance when no one wanted them. I think he's so attractive and kind for this 😭

Zhengting or THEO was one of the most popular and well loved trainee in IP season 1 for a reason. He is kind hearted, very warm and love his brothers in his show with all his heart. Iam not surprised to see him taking 2 girls into his team here. That’s how he would probably do.

Maysa 18 not really only kun and Zhengting really have the same type of mindset even if the others are nice they cant understand the trainees on another level like kunkun and zhengting because the went through the exact same process so they know what it’s like to feel left out and unsuccessful, which is why as from what we've seen in kuns teaching he was very encouraging and had a comfortable environment for the trainees and i think we'll see that from zhengting as well.
Everyone has the right to receive respect as they give or they don't respect others because we're all human. But, my point is you maybe right for a little tiny point however all the mentors are showing respect to the trainees that is why they are doing there best to make the trainees' best performers.

When I saw Zhu zhengting as a guest mentor I screamed at top of my lungs because I predicted it's gonna be him. I really miss idol producer, looking at back he has really matured. When cai xukun and zhengting hugged I literally cried so many memories. I watched idol producer when I was going through a rough time of my life, the show helped me to heal especially YOU ZHANGJING, Lin Yanjun and Fan chengcheng. I am watching this season only because of CAI XUKUN, he is doing a great job here.

Rap needs even more breath, can't you see that there is priority before beginning a thing that is a step higher? As for Xinrang, she didn't even went to him in the first place because she knew by herself that rap isn't for her. So there is no question about that.
And the trainees he took are trainees that were interested in rap in the first place. So he is teaching them. But Tako never said she wanted to rap, not in the debut and not at the interview too.

He also respect women a lot and don't have that thing called fragile masculinity.

Zhu ZhengTing (akaTheo) is such a great person to take 2 girls into his team ✨ If you guys watch Idol Producer as the 1st season, you will like ZhengTing right away. He is a great dancer with famous nickname “fairy “ because of how beautiful he looks when he dances. He cared about pretty much all other trainees in the show and treated them very well too. Hopefully IQIYI will have him to show up more in their future shows.

I remember on Idol producer during the family calls segment, Zhu Zhengting's mom reminded him to be kind and a person that can contribute to society. It just goes to show what kind of upbringing he had and how it filters through to how he treats everyone around him. I have a 10 month old son now and I wish him to be the same. Happy mother's day

People who actually defend Jony J, did you even watch the show? I get where some of you are coming from but he barely taught Bobo and Luna how to rap. He also asked Gia to consider not rapping in R&B All Night just because she has no experience in rapping at all. Heck, he even told Luna's rap in A Little Sweet was not that bad when it actually was.
I don't know about you, but if he wanted a "perfect" stage, instead of just rejecting Xinran and Tako he should've actually considered TEACHING them how to rap, something he's lacking throughout the show. Besides, this isn't a competition. If he wanted no one to laugh at any trainee, he should've taught them and be patient with them instead of straight up rejecting. Even NINEONE teaches the trainees to rap better.
Thank god Zhengting was here and considered everyone's feelings, both Xinran and Tako's and the initial trainees he had to It's OK. It's my favorite stage in Idol Producer so I'm excited for the stage a lot!

Like everyone has their own reasons for their decisions so I’m trying to not blame him for what he did before, but if he really felt that strongly then why change now and join a show that’s dedicated to making an idol group I just don’t understand...

And now, he gently asked the directors of YWY2 if dividing the song to ten parts would be ok because he wants to give the 2 trainees a spot to perform. This collaboration stage is a chance for all the trainees to have fun on stage with their role models, without the pressure of competition, and Zhengting made sure no trainee is left out! @@jb9mic He's been dancing for a long time, and he's known to be really good at tumbling/aerials bc he's really good at traditional chinese dance and contemporary dance (there's compilations on youtube if you're interested hehe), but anyways, all that flipping around unfortunately came at the cost of a waist injury. Basically, his waist/spinal cartilage was completely worn down, and Zhengting was heavily advised by doctors to take a break but boy just doesn't know how to 🙃 He's also had a few issues with dieting for the past few years, but he's been claiming that he's now dieting more healthily so I'm gonna trust him on that.

Theo is so kind-hearted and also the other mentors. I love how he handled the situation calmly to not let the girls misunderstood him. He is so kind omg. I love the four girls in Theo's team for they understand the situation and they were so genuine to accept the choice even though the choice they made will also affect their time to shine. I also love Tako Zhang for not crying and for understanding the mentors decision and for Xinran Song I feel so sorry for her and so sad because I know she is a hard working person. Xinran song was also voted out in the Non-Daily Revelry team and this time another something sad happened to her and I know how much pressure she felt right now. I love the two girls and I admire Theo also for doing something to not letting the girls felt unwanted.
I was a little bit pissed about Jony J's decision. Why not give the remaining slots to the two girls? And teach them? Because I thought that WHAT MENTORS DO? TO TEACH? But also I respect his decision but yea I'm a little bit pissed.
Like I kinda get why jony j didn’t let them in cause it’d be a pity thing and he said if it was his daughter he’d want her to be rejected so she can be respected or smthing along those lines. I guess the difference is that they are good at and have great potential for singing so they can fit into Theo’s group whereas they wouldn’t fit Jony’s cause they have some fundamental issues with rap (breathing issue). And the song meant a lot to jony j and to those who chose it so he wanted to do the best stage... at the same time I wish he’d given it a go cause it’s really awful to those two but then again he might’ve before now tried to reach them rap and not been able to. I feel like rap (to my very inexperienced self) is something that you can’t learn easily and is partially instinctual rather than learnt.

I really miss MC Jin, Afterjourney, and Jackson. They were the best rap mentors in the previous seasons who never gave up on the trainees no matter what. Also, they provided useful tips on rapping and actually know how to teach.
Before I knew that Zhengting will keep them I already knew that he will do it. I’m not surprised anymore that he will let them join on his team and I know he will find way to let them join even it will affect the line distribution.
I’ve been his fan since the beginning and he’s just so kind. I really didn’t regret stanning him.

I feel sorry for Song XinRan. She was voted out of Non- daily Revelry, had to memorize a whole new song (Light Orange Island) and was not chosen by any mentor. Zhang YuGe/ Tako also wasn't chosen in her 3 interviews with the mentors. But I'm proud at both for accepting the mentor's decisions.
However, one thing that legit tipped me off was Jony J. Sure he's a rapper and he's gonna perform his song but why did he need to close off the 2 extra slots of his team? So he got his 'dream team' of capable rappers but seriously, even if a person in YWY 2 doesn't know how to rap with the right method of teaching them they. will. learn. Xiaotang and Luna Qin, for example. They didn't know how to rap but Nineone taught them well and look what they can do now. Jony J didn't really act like a mentor in this episode tbh. He could have given XinRan and Tako a chance. As a mentor in this show he is supposed to HELP the girls have chances at the stage, not DENY them

Amieee YEESSS, jony j needs to stop going on these shows if he’s not willing to not be so dang stubborn. Like theo’s group already had 2 more people than everyone else now they have 4, but ig I prefer this than them having to be forced into a group where the mentor is too stubborn to do his role properly.
Do you know Luna Qin rap is basically a trending meme on Weibo tho... in a very bad way. She got really big fan base before this show and so it doesn’t hurt her career as much. Imagine if this happen to Tako.
Underground scene (jony j is an underground rapper) is super harsh, alot rappers made a video on how to rap Luna Qin rap song after that episode and she basically becomes a laughing stock and they call her “professional reader” , the meme is even no.1 trending on weibo, i seriously don’t hope to see that happen to another trainee again for sure so i think what Jony J did is right
@@Shen7695 thanks for letting us know about that. but the only main thing I want to point out is that as a mentor, Jony J could have done and probably reacted so much better than what he did on this episode. It's bad enough that the girls were rejected more than once but when he closed up his slots imagine what the girls felt about this.

What jony j did might seem like a dick move at first glance, but like he clearly gave them a test and they just weren't cut out for it. Sure they can improve, but if they don't they will get memed as "readers" again like the 2 girls from the melody group. They were given guidance and help from both jony j and nineone, but they couldn't improve that fast enough by the time of the performance. Those 2 literally got memed to death on weibo. Theres also a shit ton of videos about it everywhere even on youtube. People literally made covers of the song showing how it should really sound like. I don't really think anyone would want the trainees to be memed that hard again so like his decision is honestly the right one.

i felt so bad for them that i literally started to cry. even though rejection is a common part of this industry, it is still so sad to see them going through this.
Same. I even get mad of jony j while watching how he rejected these two trainees when infact he still has 2 slots left. This stage supposed to be fun for them after all the competition they had. But because jony j wants to have perfect performance he didnt even give chances for these two. Im really disappointed.
Aileen Virl and on top of that he knows what it’s like to be in that position hoping that someone will pick you and then he went and did that instead. im so disappointed in him.
Don’t get me wrong I love these girls so much, but I can understand why Jony J didn’t want to take them into his team. If you look at the older episodes where he was coaching the girls who didn’t know how to rap, it kinda made those girls look REALLY bad. Almost as if everyone (even the subtitle text in the show) was meme-ing on them for not being able to rap and just reading the lyrics. I also think that those two girls being on Jony J’s team would have struggled to master the song, and I can’t help but think that their performance may affect the other trainees that are rappers.
I love all these girls so much, I’m glad that Theo bent the rules to give them a chance to perform on stage.

But I really expected more from him being a mentor to take some actions. E.g. discussing with other mentors about them
We need to recognise that he is not the only "rap mentor" in the show. ywy employs professionals to guide the girls too. Moreover in first live show, 乃万 helped the girls for rap too. But " 黄色的长裙" and qin niu still flopped. So it might not be that jony j does'nt know how to teach but it is really difficult for the girls with no basic rap skills to manage the song in such a short period of time.
IsaacM I get you, but you also gotta keep in mind that ywu2 was ok with him sealing off those two spots. If the show director was dead set on all groups having 5 members then the girls would just be forced into Jony J’s group, mostly out of pity, especially because one of them didn’t even try out for Jony J’s song. If that was the case then the whole “interview” portion would be pointless, then they shouldn’t even bother having the interview, just have the mentors accept ALL the girls that try out for their group. (Also keep in mind that one of the girls was REJECTED from Ella’s group despite Ella saying she still had 2 spots left).
if he allow the two girls getting into his group and they end up cannot rap well in such a short preparation time, probably they will be laughed by ALL the people like 淡黃的長裙. i think jonyj do not want it to happen again. besides, he has mentioned that if he allow the girls to get in his group because of pitying them, it is just not respecting. though simply rejecting them may not be the best solution, i understand him.

zhengting is so sweet! he knows what the trainees have gone through, and allowed them to join. even if it meant dividing up parts and adding members. i am pumped for all of these colabs, and especially zhengting, xiao gui, and ziyi's stage and ella's stage.

he actually said "我更多是心疼” although the show translated what he said as "I just feel sorry for you", the literal translation for "心疼” is heart aches/heart hurts. To me, I feel like he's saying that he worries/cares about them instead of "I just feel sorry for you" which sounds more harsh.

I'm so glad that zhengting came in YWY kun also seemed to miss ninepercent so much I fell in love with zhengting when I saw him performing PPAP he was so damn cute I like him the most in idol producer next to kun I am sooo beyond excited for his collab performance with the trainees. I remember the days when Theo participated in the produce series. To think it has only been 3 years but he looks like has matured by 10 years. Very proud of how far he has come and how kind he has remained.
I’ve never seen some feel so bad and want to help them so much that is something very mature for him to do and the girls looked so sad after not being in a group he definitely made them gain happiness back that they lost

i’ve said it many times before and i will say it again: zhu zhengting is the best leader and we really don’t deserve him.
Zhengting is really caring. He still respected them and didn't pity the girls. He's really sweet and respectful to the staff and i'm just happy to see him.

Its not just iQIYI. Even their entertainment companies uses their English name to promote them. If you look at the solo releases of Zhengting, you can see that he uses Theo. Also for Xukun, he always uses KUN when he promotes a song.
I remember when they had their pre-debut training in the US they were called by their English names all the time. I think it’s just to make pronouncing their names easier since names like theo are familiar internationally, not like boogie and lil ghost are common but you get my point😂
As an international fan, i personally prefer them having english names, it's easy to remember.
