    Thank you for doing this! My rheumatologist did not explain, or demonstrate, and my pharmacist gave me the most brief rushed verbal and rundown. I understood but it’s just nice to see it done once before doing it yourself.

      Great demo. Thank you! You add an amount of air to the vial equal to that which you are going to draw out so that you don't create a vacuum. The vacuum will make it harder or impossible to draw out subsequent doses.

      Rheumatologist couldn't be bothered to instruct. Thank you so much. One question, does it matter how far in the needle should be pushed?

    Thank you! Just recently found your podcast (love it) and today was my first methotrexate injection. Thank you for helping me through.

    I get a pen needle it is already loaded and tiny needle no pain very easy. For anyone not wanting to go through all this I would recommend trying to get the pen. You can research online and see a demo then ask for pen instead of going through the whole deal with this syringe. Much much easier.

      Good point, however I will add that each person is different - I prefer the syringe because I like to be able to control how fast I go. I find the pen too fast. But each person is different!

    Hi, first of all thank you for doing this video. What gauge of needle do you use?

    Wow you get it in injection form why not oral tablet? Does the tablet not work in terms of side effects

    • @ArthritisLife
      @ArthritisLife  Před rokem +4

      The injection form is associated with less stomach side effects, including less liklihood of nausea

    Do you keep the remainder of a vial you've already taken a dose out of in the fridge or just at room temp?

    • @ArthritisLife
      @ArthritisLife  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Methotrexate stays at room temp for me!
