I love your idea of reusing fabrics from old quilt cover, old jeans, like that.. makes everything a lot cheaper because we don't have to buy new fabrics.
But if one decides to make a tote using new fabrics that's alright, too.. would definitely try making this next year once I can get my sewing machine 😊

I love this bag, but have a question. When you cut the denim, you cut along a seam and sewed "H" stitches. Can you explain why you did that please? Thank you!

I think she did it to make the piece of fabric more “square”, Jean legs curve.

Very well done. I always have issues sewing the straps/interfacing/jeans to the lining though. Together they are really thick so even though I use a leather needle (or large gauge) and I have a heavy duty machine it just will not stitch so I end up with crooked seams or doing it by hand and it’s uneven it takes forever to do. Your bag is beautiful. Thank you for the tutorial.

Just discovered your channel and like your tutorials a lot! Since i normally use "inches", i usually sew with a 1/4" seam allowance. Can you tell me how much seam allowance you use? It would be great if you can include that info so that everything will fit/match and we can get the same results as you. Also, what kind of interfacing do you use?

Nice tutorial...those who want to make bags to sell.. please do use light interfaced for lining , slip pockets. Otherwise it will be floppy and gives does not give a professional look. I am a bag maker and sells to customers.
