  • Our raccoon family came for a visit and a meal as we await the arrival of Hurricane Debbie here in South Carolina. Shortly after this video was made we had a tornado alert and a severe flooding alert from the National Severe Weather Service.

@@jodimcdaniel7224 Hi Jodi we are just outside of Charleston South Carolina and have a lot of different types of frogs living here. We are backed up to the Ashley River so we get a lot of frog and toad traffic. Sorry that I can’t answer your question but if I discover the type I will let you know.

@@johnavitable544 that’s cool I was just asking because I thought it sounded like a bull frog but I wasn’t sure I’m from Peoria Illinois we mostly have tree frogs and toads I also live not far from the Illinois river so we not only have frogs and raccoons but we also have water moccasins

@@jodimcdaniel7224 Hi Jodi we have not seen any bull frogs here. Most of our guys are small and green. They can stick to any surface. We keep the deck lights on in the night so the frogs are attracted to the bugs which the light bring.
Years ago I used to travel regularly to Peoria so I am very familiar with your town and the surrounding area. Yesterday I fished a water moccasin out of our pool and released it back into the woods.

@@johnavitable544 I had a great grandma that used to know how to handle snakes quite well when she saw one she’d kill it and say it’s a dead snake now, now I on the other hand I am terrified of snakes period no matter what kind they are

Hi Jodi, I asked around and those were bull frogs you heard. The web site thefroglady.org specializes in frogs from this area. Today I had to evict a 4 foot copperhead which I found besides me this morning while cleaning our pool. Not sure who was more scared, him or me.@@jodimcdaniel7224
