I’m not a film actress but I’m a stage actress and this comment reminded me of the one time I broke character onstage😂 There was supposed to be a prop reveal and we all go *gasp* AN ELEPHANT BIRD?! but someone forgot to put the elephant bird in the next and we turn and I go *gasp* an INVISIBLE ELEPHANT BIRD?! And the actor I was playing alongside and I totally lost it. We were trying to sing the song that comes after but we were like snorting in laughter between lyrics😂

Neato! I've actually progressively gotten more and more seriously interested in acting after watching Shadowhunters. I mean, I always have been, but the interest didn't quite stick and I felt the difficulties outweighed the benefits and my like and interest. As I see more and more behind the scene stuff and listen to interviews from actors bout their career story I'm starting to really consider it. This B-roll stuff is especially motivating and intriguing to me for some reason. Honestly not even just acting, but several of the jobs involved in film-making catch my eye. I mean, any career interest of mine has always been something unstable and/or low-income lol, so what the hell. At least I'm finally getting some modicum of passion for something.
I remember seeing a clip of a show (I think it was from Germany) where all these teenagers were partying and dancing, but they were all wearing headphones. So you as the viewer couldn't hear anything but their feet shuffling and tapping on the floor. I thought it was awkward. I was right.
I think it was a combination of practical aspects (according to the actors, the glowy plastic swords did have rather little longevity and would get damaged severely with each take of a fight scene) and asthetic reasons; they decided to ditch the somewhat campy and goofy/vibrant look of s1 and opt for the average (albeit abc family friendly) grimdark visuals and overall tone of the show that were quite popular back in the day. I like some of the changes but def not all, and I too think it's a shame that they just dropped the ball on what maybe looked a little silly but also was quite special and made the show unique in s1 for a half-hearted attempted at the generic grimdark style which they never could oull off satisfyingly anyway due to budget and tv rating reasons.
Ok 2 things: 1. Does anyone else see the angelic power rune on the van? 2. If someone told me I had the Sight, I would have said, "Well I'm not blind."
It's so weird to see the scenes without the effects. But also pretty cool
