I think on the LE model you have to use a different kit and you'll need to get to the back of the radio but I'm not sure if its the same for the hybrid model.

Very helpful video. Thank you. My Camry XLE hybrid is different from this car. The camera plug is hidden under a plastic air duct that has to be removed from the console to make the attachment. To lift out the duct, you'll need to remove two brackets, one metal and one plastic, which cross the inside of the console. None of this is hard. Also, my driver's side rear seat back does not fold down. I fed the camera wire through an existing wiring port, which was just under the left trunk-lid hinge, then tucked it behind the seat-back edge and the weatherstripping. The camera works as advertised.

Great video, helped me a lot with installing my camera last spring. Watched it again today to review my steps. I have the same exact camera package from Amazon and my back up camera stopped working a week or so ago. I am going to take things apart today and check connections, I did order a replacement camera already just in case I needed to replace it.

It took about 40 minutes with the recording.
I had the one where I had to connect to the head unit. Just finished running wires front to back. I can’t get those white clips off the damn license light panel.

Awesome video. Why did you install the camera to the side instead of right under the logo? Are the “lines” on the screen accurate when you back into parking spaces? I assume it’s off by a little bit?
Thats where they mount them from the factory. There's two lines on that trim where you have to center the camera.
The image is centered on the screen.

That's a unibit or step drill bit.
I got this one from Home Depot for $30+.
You could use a regular drill bit.

It looks like you'd have to install a aftermarket radio with a reverse camera.
Can you install the camera right below the Toyota emblem? Making it centered? Or does that not work 🤔? Great video!
I'm not sure how it will look on the screen. I mounted it there because that's where it said to.

if you're running the wires through the license plate lights, did you need to drill a hole for the camera? or did you do it for aesthetic purposes?
I drilled the hole for the camera in the plastic trim piece that surrounds the reverse lights. I ran the wire through the opening for one of the reverse lights to keep from drilling another hole.
Thanks for the reply. I’m having a real tough time removing the plastic cover (the one you drilled a hole in). Those plastic tabs that you need to squeeze is giving me real trouble. Can you make a video on how you removed it?

Hi friend tried doing this but I was not able to pull my radio out because of the type of screws used to mount it in the dash. Any help?

You only have to connect the black wire to a ground.

The red wire and yellow RCA connects to the other short harness and plugs in under the shifter console.

There's no link for just that connector. It only comes with the kit.
Do you know if there will be an issue with upgrading the head unit later if I install this camera since it doesn't plug directly into the radio?
What do you mean when you say upgrading the radio.
Are you referring to installing a after market unit?

This camera was designed to work with the factory unit. It looks like you can cut the connector off and splice the wires to work with the new unit.

Does it have the sensor when you're about to hit a car?
This is just a reverse camera. There isn't a sensor.

The camera worked without connecting that black wire to anything it so
The black ground wire has to be connected to a section of metal on the car. Watch the video starting at 13:45, and you will see I used a self tapping screw to make the connection.

I don't think it'll work on the LE model.
You'll have to do some research and see if there's a different way to make it work.

Its designed to be installed in a certain location.
If you already installed it below the logo please let me know how it looks on the screen.
