Uber’s legacy multi-zone, multi-region Compute stack runs on Mesos with a custom scheduler (Peloton). We have embarked on migrating Uber’s stateless services to K8S, having migrated a significant % of Uber’s stateless capacity to the new stack in 2023. These are 1000s of services using millions of CPU cores with millions of containers launched daily.
