My most favorite song off the album is “The Cut that always bleeds”, its low-key underrated.

conan doesn’t label his sexuality :)
He talks about 3 different situations from his personal life in this song. First it’s the 16 year old boy and girl who commit suicide due to bullying. Then about 2 young boys who love each other but are too afraid to admit it so they never express or act on those feelings, now they both live in different states. Then it’s about Conan and his friend. They both had abusive parents so they made a bet to work and save so they could run away and afford to live on their own. By the lyrics “I wonder if she’s alright” it seems maybe she went separate ways and they lost touch or maybe he got away and she didn’t. I’m unsure about that.
Love the story telling. I only know Heather from Conan and it’s lovely.
I'm usually more of a metal/hard rock kind of guy, but this guy is just amazing.

Conan is such a talented artist and such a sweet/goofy person in general. He actually does play the guitar! The one that got me was the first story "so they didnt love themselves, and now theyre gone, headstones on a lawn". Conan has said before that he prefers no labels and doesnt wish to be put in a box regarding his sexuality and gender
the stories werent all about him, the last part was most definitely about him though. I have to look more into though
