I finally got a chance to go to Roots flea market. Very cool place to check out. Found a brave star action figure for $3 and the McDonald's inspector gadget ( Matthew Broderick ) complete for $5 . Still have to check out mad hatter they were closed unfortunately.

Ahhh dude I grew up literally 1/4 mile from there, it used to be a Scotty’s hardware store (me and my friend got cought stealing from there one day when we were skipping school 😜 allegedly)

#DaveWantsASurfboard (Bowling is safer) 4:39 - I'm intrigued by that documentary as well, always wanted to know more about Australia in a palatable way (it is available on Blu-ray as well). 11:10 - Dam, that disc! (can't help myself). 15:29 - Maybe you already know this, and it's only a $1, but that Tom Jones cd is a record club edition, I recognize it immediately by the UPC and try to keep those out of my collection. 17:42 - Ruling Class is only available on a Criterion DVD at this point, so on Laserdisc, certainly worthwhile. 27:05 - WALK AWAY (*sigh*)! Heck of a haul, nice place.

17:19 Dave, I know you're not planning to buy too many records and would prefer a small curated collection, but that Billy Vaughn 'A Swingin' Safari' album is really light and fun, particularly the title instrumental tune, 'A Swingin' Safari', which is similar to the 'Wimoweh' song from back in the day and as heard in Disney's 'The Lion King'.
Records like that appeal to collectors like me that are into lounge, Tiki, exotica, Hawaiiana, African rhythms, world music, etc. so naturally, I already have that album as well as a similar album by Bert Kaempfert who was the original composer of 'A Swingin' Safari'. :)
