Loved your enthusiasm. My husband and I have cruised on Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria. We will be cruising on Queen Elizabeth in September on an Alaskan cruise. Thanks for sharing
Loved your vid! Bought back memories of my '18 cruise on her from San Francisco to Sydney. I don't think I could do a boisterous ship like Royal Carib. for the 22 days of that cruise. QE was just right. Great food, outstanding itinerary, elegant, not too large of a ship, great table mates, fantastic service (prepandemic), no waterslides or rock climbing etc. but never bored. The lectures were especially excellent. A wonderful way to explore Hawaii and the South Seas.
The lectures sound SO NICE! I love being on a cruise and feeling like I am learning, always a "lifelong learner" attitude for me. Visiting Hawaii and the South Seas like that on the Cunard sounds great. Thanks for your comment and Happy New Year!! Nick
I am thinking of going on the Queen Elizabeth in September and after seeing this I think I would be very happy. Than you for a great tour!
Really enjoyed this - I’m VERY interested in Cunard, and am considering for 2023. Sounds like you had an excellent time!
I enjoyed it, and the food was definitely a step above RCL and others!! The library was also the best ship library I've ever been inside.
Awesome video, appreciate your unique tour!
Thanks Nick! Loved this tour much more than the others I have watched! I am heading onto this ship, and my first cruise, in 6 days!
Thank you for your video it was really good and informative, such a beautiful ship, completely different from most cruise lines. Wishing you well, Merry Christmas and may many more cruises be on the horizon for you. Kind wishes, Anne
What a great video! I really appreciate it all the way out of the ordinary documentation that you provide. What a smart thing to do! Bravo.!!!
Thanks for the tour, a short 3 day getaway in Feb. 2023 from Melbourne to Tasmania and return. Looking forward to it.
Great review
Thanks Nick, we’re about to cruise Sydney to Tassie. Very helpful review.
Thank you for your tour. My wife and I are going on our first cruise this December on Cunard and your tour was the most informative. Cheers from Australia.
how was your cruise Owen?? hope you enjoyed it. I am on the Celebrity Apex now and there is NO LIBRARY on the whole ship, which after being on the Cunard QE with such a huge beautiful library, this lack of library really is a crime (LOL). Thanks for your comment and cheers to Australia from off the coast of Cuba -- Nick
You just finished dinner and I am thoroughly enjoying your trip so far. The menu looked terrific. It is breakfast in my world this morning but I'm already looking forward to the evening meal!! Carry on!
Really good thanks
Just came back from the QE through Alaska. Great trip, lots of absolutely beautiful scenery.
Very enjoyable and informative, thank you.
thank you Marcel for the comment! I enjoyed my time on the Queen Elizabeth with Cunard and wanted to honor it with a little video. thanks again for watching and for your comment
Great content. Very informative.
This is a great video ,the best I’ve seen on the Queen Elizabeth.
We do our cruise in 2weeks ,this was a really good insight into the ship.
We have subscribed to your channel as we found yours to be one of the best .Thank you ,keep up the good work
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much John. I will be going on another cruise in a few weeks and I will make another tour video then.
FUN!
The theatre is breathtaking.
8.27 my friend and I are going next year January from Sydney Australia to Tasmania 7 days I’m so looking forward to it I’ve been watching so many videos about the Queen Elizabeth ship it looks absolutely amazing can’t wait
Love you video on CZcams thanks
Sandra
Very enjoyable video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Andrew
Hi Nick! Thank you for your very informative and entertaining video. My wife & I just booked our Queen Elizabeth cruise this morning (28 Nov) for next year. Our cabin number is 8029, just up the aisle from where you stayed. We are so exited!
LOL! Loved it, especially when you walked up the Queens Grill "don't go" area, hahah I was yelling, yeah do it mate go up there! Keep doing these videos. they're great fun. We sail this coming Tuesday from Sydney. Mrs and I can't wait!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much and hope you and your lady had a great cruise. I'm on the Celebrity Apex now and trying to hype myself up to film another ship tour video. Going to do it soon!
Here from the Danny Miranda Podcast :) Great episode and awesome tour Nick!
thank you Divad!! I am trying to add more videos to my channel now
Tour was excellent…we picked the ship in Fort Lauderdale (where we live) to Barcelona….so nice to see the ship again….
SO JEALOUS that you live in FLL, a true cruise ship hub!!
Great in depth video!! : ) We will celebrate our 25th anniversary on her 7/7/23 for Alaska. I have watched *** hours - this is the BEST!
Its very impresive
it really is! great ship
Great video. We have sailed Qm2 about 15 X. Yes Cunard skews older but that does not bother us. Gives us a break from modern life, and a chance to step back in time. I enjoyed the originality of your video and tour since we have QE booked for Alaska next summer and have never been aboard. Pro Tip re: Pol Acker (in case you sail Cunard again)... Take it home and if you need to refinish your wood floors, you can use it to strip the varnish off. In a pinch you can also use it to clean a bathtub ;) Read Cruise Critic for running jokes on Pol Acker.
Hoping to go July 2023 from Vancouver. Thanks for video. Enjoyed it. Honest. #urinalslookedfine
Thank you! First time Cunard Next June 20-30!
Have fun on your cruise, Martha! I bet it will be great. I'm on the Celebrity Apex right now (newer ship) and can you believe there is NO LIBRARY on this ship? I was so upset haha. Have a great cruise and thanks for the comment -- Nick
My wife and I will be aboard in August for 14 days Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale on a full Panama Canal transit. I can’t wait!
I always use the stairs because , like you, there is much food to be eaten . 😋
I so enjoyed your tour. My husband and I are going on the August Vancouver roundtrip Alaska cruise. I went on ocean liners as a child and once as a teenager and have wanted to repeat the experience for years. I loved being on the open ocean. My husband hasn't been. I think this will be fun, even if a lot more formal than the casual pandemic lifestyle we've adopted (we live in the SF suburbs, not very dressy). Maybe we'll enjoy dressing up again. We are in the Balcony Club. What is the protocol for tipping? At the end on the whole bill or as you go?
I like the ship very much
Hi Nick
We are on QE2 for 1month from Alaska, all the way down to FLL.
Could you please comment about the dress code and on board drink and beverage options.
Thank you
Gc
Going from Sydney 15 01 24 7 days to Tasmania Australia thanks for information
I'll be taking that exact cruise Aug-23. Thanks for the information. Where did you pull into port in SF? DD
Hey Dennis! Sorry for the delay in replying: did you do your cruise yet? We pulled into the port in SF near the popular dock area. There were lots of shops down there and popular areas. It was not like a shipping container area, if you know what I mean. Sorry I don't have the exact name!
Joining Queen Elizabeth in Sydney in November to circumnavigate Australia, count down the days
have a great cruise, Anne!! that sounds fantastic
Hi there Nick. Thanks for that tour. I don't visit men's bathrooms so thanks for that inclusion! I am heading off on the Queen Elizabeth (first cruise) for 7 days from December 15th, 2022, from Melbourne, around Tasmania and then back to Melbourne, Australia. We just had a ship pull into Sydney full of COVID. I'm concerned I will be made to isolate for 5 of my 7 days to my room with a small balcony, small shower and small fridge! Hope it's not gonna happen. I am looking forward to sneaking around the places you did and checking out everything on the menu too. Cheers, Sophia
hi Sophia, sorry I missed your message! how was your cruise? did you go to the Mona Museum in Tasmania?
@@nickgray No I didn't, we just went down to the Salamanca Market. I have been to Tassie several times, its magnificent down there. It was just a beautiful as your video and if you can find mine on You Tube, I made a couple of films as well. We were given a RAT when we pulled into Hobart and rumor has it 19 of our 1600 guests tested positive. Once we got home, my cabin buddy tested positive too. I have managed to avoid COVID again! Thanks for your reply. Catch you on your next vid!
I would like to book this cruise
Bravo on showing us the telescope. Not on any other video.
Thank you kindly Liz! I'm looking forward to my next RCL cruise next week. I hope it has a telescope as well, but I doubt it: seems like a premium Cunard-only feature.
Like the video, but must point out you are on deck 9 not deck 8 as you stated.
Did you ever find the "Yacht Club" nightclub?
yes! Yacht Club is on Deck 10, more info on it here www.cunard.com/en-us/activity-types/bars-and-lounges/yacht-club
Looking forward to our cruise on Queen Elizabeth, Singapore to Perth, Australia. On the 30/10/2022. 8 nights.
Did you need a covid test before boarding?
Jon I hope you have a great cruise! The COVID requirements seem to be shifting every month. Yes, we needed a COVID test, but they might have changed the rules by the time of your sail. Have a great trip!
Thanks for the info,
"You could fit a small family inside of these closets".. hahaha
thank you Travis for watching and finding that comment funny! hahaha I was wondering if anyone would get it
We have been looking at the Alaska cruise from Vancouver July 2023 but are concerned about the next plandemic you can cross the border now without vaccination/gene therapy covid tests etc. Trip insurance? Any advice on booking or who to talk to? Thank you.
howdy! I'm not exactly sure how this is handled now, or how it will be handled by that time. best bet is to ask the cruise line or stay tuned to international guidance. seems like things are chilling out now and guests are not required to wear a mask onboard (but staff are?)
Going on in February
We are leaving in a week for the Queen Elizabeth.
Have an excellent trip on the Queen Elizabeth! Be sure to check out the library on one of the first days to get the best selection of books to enjoy during your trip. Thanks for your comment here.
Sailing QE Barcelona to Fremantle Australia October 10 2022.
your trip is almost here now, Chris! have a great sail
@@nickgray flying out of Australia for Barcelona today……beyond excited to be cruising again
Coonard?
Gorgeous ship but the corridors and your cabin is dead boring.
....and its not a fun ship with rides etc.Never was or ever will be.
