Amazing that the average person can simply access this Dr's million dollar knowledge for free! Wonderful. One of the many benefits of people such as this Dr who commit their valuable time is such a wonderful gesture of generosity and I applaud you dear sir 👏👏Thank you
Criminally low like count for such an amazing video.
Thank you Sam for providing the world with very high quality, free education like this.
I learned a lot from it and really appreciate your uploads. It makes a huge difference 😳
Hi..I’m a nurse by profession..theatre nurse…I’m truly grateful with your videos…I’ve never appreciate anatomy as much as I started watching your videos…I wish I had a teacher like you during my nursing college days…
Oh man! I used to listen to Sam and Rhiannon's podcast and the neuroscience one during my anatomy degree in Ireland 15 years or so ago. These are brilliant, delighted to see Sam is still making fantastic resources
What a timing,I was looking for your video on esophagus as I was studying esophagus pathology but did not get and you just uploaded it
I think you are the best in anatomy even better than ken hub 😂
Best doctor in the world 👏👏👏
I topped my anatomy practical just because of sam sir's videos .Thanks sir for such robust knowledge

ِAwesome video. I loved the applied anatomy notes and the 3d organs help a lot.
Glory be to the Creator who created this with these precise relations n functions
THANK-YOU FOR ALL THE DETAILS!
Excellent video! Thank you!
Was fascinated to watch this(total layman here) the one area I would have liked a bit more expansion on is
Eosinophilic esophagitis. I suffer with this as it produces dysphagia. Would be good to explain that more in detail, as it is not as common as the hiatus hernia. Love the videos ❤❤❤
That was really useful.TNX
Lots of love from india❤❤❤❤❤❤.Nice explanation sir
Thank you very much for your outstanding explanation of this very important piece of anatomy. Paolo
First time I came to know that esophagus and Aorta passes through 2 different holes of the diaphragm
Thanks sir
I love this channel. 28 min video on the food tube? How can there possibly be 28 minutes of content on a single pipe! Nevertheless, I’m always fascinated the whole lecture and learn there’s so much more useful detail than I could possibly imagine.
I know, I thought this was going to be a short one too. Anatomy often catches me out like that. Seemingly simple structures have complicated but useful anatomy. I try to put the key stuff towards the beginning and the detail towards the end for those that want it.
I like your hairstyle, Mr. Webster!
Oesophageal groupies, lol
Excellent videos
16:59 Blood supply of the esophagus
18:18 Venous drainage of the esophagus
23:10 Innervation
25:43 Lymphatic drainage
Thanks 💯
Thank you soo much , this is so useful 😊
Having been Dx with Jackhammer Esophagus after Manometry Test explained my symptoms. Having sought out Mayo Clinic after my GI senior doctor had no idea what was wrong given my symptoms I find many Drs are clueless about esophageal issues. I had intermittent chest pain, globus which I described as having the sensation food was stuck in my throat upper 1/3 of esophagus off to one side. Shortly fter exercising I had difficulty breathing, dizziness and chest discomfort. Was already taking a Rx for GERD starting many years earlier. The nurse in her note s that I was a hypochondriac and nothing was found after endoscopy and stretching of esophagus. Mayo did a lot of testing and ultimately did manometry test that showed extreme amplitudes in lower 1/3 of Esophagus. Dr and I tried mint to relay it etc…. Nothing helped except Rx Tadalafil. It has been the only medicine to alleviate the discomfort & chest pain. But what brings this esophageal disfunction to happen so n the first place?
Me too have the symptom, after workout, even very light workout, shot of breath.
You’re amazing!! but I would love it if you make a video on the pharynx with its main features and characteristics.
Amazing ❤

Sam I’ve been watching your videos for years and I want to thank you! I’m an RN First Assistant and have learned more from watching your videos than from any of my instructors back when I was in school.
May I ask where you got this particular anatomy model? I love how detailed it is, most I come across don’t have this many removable pieces.
Thank you. We get our models from Adam,Rouilly and 3BScientific.
