- Supercharged the Miata! Still not 100 percent done, but it does drive! Fingers crossed it doesn't end up being problematic 🤞

I can tell it is zippier just from watching. Looks like the perfect amount of added power. Resembling what the Mazdaspeed represented, just a slight uptick in power, nothing too wild. Remember, don't downplay 30 extra horsepower when that's 33% the car had originally!
Instant power, lovely supercharger whine and the ability to break out from 3000 rpm because of the low end power
Its not necessarily the HP gain that is of concern with a supercharger but the “torque”. That responsive torque is where all the fun is at 🔥
Supercharger sounds dope! Glad you guys got it working, can't wait to see some slides 👌
Love these videos I’m happy that your miata brought me to your channel
Love to see Marc getting his driving up
watching your videos makes me wanna buy a miata, love ur vids man keep up da good work
Great videos as always
That’s tight, good job Mark!
this makes me happy. Also love the fun vlogs when u chuck in memes like Khaled hahaha
Those last few clips of it whining and sliding 👌🏾
Thanks for sharing, this is interesting because I'm considering a head conversion and supercharger setup.
Getting a miata next month, gonna make it look cool before I do anything to the inside, still trying to learn more about cars before I do anything serious
Looks quick + the DJ Khaled clip was golden 👍🏽
I run this same kit on my 1.8, nothing crazy but fun and easy! best part is when the shit breaks your car still runs LMAO
Much love here from SoCal, idk if you'd remember me but I'm pretty sure you'd remember Matt and Thao from Street Faction
What a fun car to drive regardless of the power. Been in so many hairy B road situations that I’ve lost count over the 4 years of ownership. So happy to see someone do supercharger build this recently.I would love to do this build. I just got my 1.6L back after it needed a new coil pack and cam angle sensor just to get it running again. UNDER 💯 hrspwrs club is a legit thing?!?
Dude sick NA it’s awesome bro! Dude you gotta start with a music playlist or start listing music in the bio! You’ve got great taste in music!
SkuraWeekly knows what it takes to succeed...... Dj Khaled can learn a thing or two from you guys. Great video.
The goat!
Also is there a source for your effects/sounds? I really wanna put more effort into my videos.
dope my guy fr that’s a fire set up!🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾 could you guys tell me what wheels those are?
seems good
dude so good
dope as hell
The last :60 of this video makes all the pain and suffering worthwhile.
Sick af
Intercooler next please
let me know when you hit the lots, trying to see this thing in person
I had a lot of trouble setting up the timing on a turbo 1.6 I built. Turns out the glue that bonded the harmonic balancer together failed and and it had spun. Apparently a very common issue on NA miatas. Impossible to time up a car when the marks have shifted
This exact thing happened on my Turbo Miata and was driving me insane until I went to the forums.
You can get close to 160-180hp with that m45.
Do you plan to turbo in the future? Especially for drifting, I really enjoy'd my turbo 1.6 and now my turbo forged 1.8
The little red miata that could.
Some ppl can't handle success....I cannnnn yessriiiirrrrrr
so neat! why does ruvim remind me of kimi raikkonen lol
And could you link the playlist you use in your description?
Yes it is, i have a 275 whp supercharged na miata, you dont need more to have fun than that
What modifications did you do ?
I love your wheels what are the specs?
Sweet
3:56 If you wanted to crank the car without it starting, you should be able to crank it in flood mode by flooring the throttle while cranking it. It'll turn over but not start
That wouldn't work on a car this old
You can also pull the fuse to the sparkplugs
Love it whats the song at 6:00?
What are the wheels and tires? They look great. Keep up the good work
Standard software after supercharger was installed?
Question, you don’t have power steering ?
Nah it wasn’t worth it
It was needed 🔥👌🏾👍🏾🔥
What are the wheels you have on em?
Honestly, I don't think it's worth it, seeing what you went through to be slightly better than the 1.8. Still an improvement if you don't want that much power but a cool sounding engine I guess. This video will help people make a decision too, so nice job.
With an intercooler, some rx7 injectors and standalone ecu/tune this car can be making close to double the stock power.
@@lucasg3040 And a good header
DJ Khaled the 🐐
Plsss wat wheels are thooose
Adding supercharger to ANYTHING is worth it!
That supercharge sounds sexy
It’s hard running a wing that’s bigger than your car
The dj Khaled clip 💀💀
1.6 makes 75 to wheels stock
I like have US (oil country) has like 83 and 93 or whatever and in Finland (not a oil country) we have 95 as the worst fuel you can buy in the whole country and 98 as the premium. Or nowadays e5 and e10 I dont know if the numbers here stand for the same thing as there.
But then again we also pay 2€/liter for the non premium (7.95 dollars/gallon)
Common misconception.
Gasoline quality is measured experimentally but using different tests. Depending on the test that is done to control fuel quality, we get
Research Octane Number (RON) , used in Europe and most of the world
Motor Octane Number (MON)
Because two different tests define RON and MON, with MON testing done under more difficult conditions, MON number is always lower than RON.
In Europe, gas stations describe different types of gasoline based on their RON rating. It is typical to have 100, 99, 98, 97 or 95 RON with prices varying accordingly. In the States the descriptions look a lot like RON, but they are not.
In the United States gas stations describe the types of gasoline based on the Pump Octane Number (PON). That number is the average between RON and MON. This causes many problems.
If a fuel is 98 RON then it will be 93 PON -> 93 PUMP
If a fuel is 95 RON and 87 MON then it will be 91 PON -> 91 PUMP
@@Gerle71 ah thank you for this information!
@@thomaslindroos1667 I was surprised when I first moved to the US, the octane numbers seemed low, so I had to look up what was going on. I'm sure there's more to it than what I posted above, but I think as a quick explanation it probably isn't too wrong. Gratulerar till NATO-medlemskapet, synd att Sverige inte fick komma med samtidigt! 🇫🇮🇸🇪🇺🇸
Have you removed that door alarm on the miata? Thing is the most annoying sound ever. Takes 2 seconds
I have not haha
Still watching but bro, remove the door buzzer pls 😂😂😂🙉
I’m having electrical issues right now, that sound is embedded into my brain at this point 😭😂
@@SkuraWeekly bruh, I feel you, i had to remove a 90s aftermarket immobiliser on mine a few years back and the car was tripping balls for weeks. Got a gauge install going on rn and getting ptsd 😂
My 2001 Miata has 220hp fucking screams for a Miata.
not even watching the whole video but to answer the supercharger question in a short no it's not worth it a turbo will cost about the same amount and produce a bit more power
It can make good power if it had a intercooler and more fuel
3rd!
Until you get that thing properly tuned and remapped, you're never going to have it at it's optimum. 200hp in a Miata is excessive. 150hp would be perfect for the road.
Check recent uploads, all tuned on a standalone now! Butt dyno is telling me 150-160hp
Who taps a thread with a drill 😂😂😂
