Hey Tim! Thanks for your videos. I pulled the trigger on a new 2018 24 MXZ a couple of months ago, in large part due to your videos. I also did many of the same choices in upgrades as you given your input. And I LOVE it!! I'm starting to notice some vinyl rub points between the swim deck facing seats and where they meat up with the two ballast locker doors. Those areas are hinge point on hinge point and I'm getting a bit of vinyl wear as they open and close against one another. Have you experienced the same?
Thank you Jason! Good to know I helped. I appreciate your support with my videos. I haven't looked very closely at this location but I will take a look and see if mine is wearing also. Just went over 140 hours with 2 to 3 day trips left in my season. If your vinyl does wear too far it should be covered under your warranty, but make sure to hold off on warranty repairs like that until the off season as it takes a similar amount of time as ordering a new boat to order a new skin.

Beautiful boat! Love your colors! I prob would have waited another week to go pick her up (to avoid the snow), but I get it... :-). I am the proud new owner of a 2018 23LSV and while I did not get mine till the end of July (so no snow worries) I could not wait to go pick her up! I really enjoy your videos! I have started doing some go pro and drone footage but trying to find the time to put it all together.......... I love that you can go down the road with the G4 tower in the down position. I have been contemplating a way to put my tower (G35) down for travel? I have some ideas but was just wondering if maybe you had it figured out already (I am kinda assuming that ur new 24 MXZ is not ur first Malibu?)? Not that big a deal, I am just curious... We have been getting weeks of rain and bad weather here so really hoping this Sunday is decent enough to get out on the water?!?!? Happy Surfing!
Thanks Kurt! Yes I have owned 3 different 23 LSV's and my last was a 2017. They ship with a 2 x 4 stand to support the tower while down. The only cover designed to tow with the tower down goes with the G4. Also, if you have a bimini its not really designed nicely to tow while down with the G 3.5 either. Hope you get some more time on the water!
just curious... why malibu? did you look at other brand and other boats? or did you always had your mind set on a malibu.
Grant Morrison great question. Mailbu has been king of the surf game since the surf gate came out and has always bern 1 of the top 3 tow boats so the quality is on point. The only other boat I would consider is the G23 and that is because its known for its wakeboard wake and I'm a wakeboard fanatic, but Malibu has an outstanding wake as well. Mastercrafts new xstar has me intrigued but mastercraft is overpriced if you ask me.
What color is the hull and the deck? Im in the process of ordering my boat and I'm trying to get an idea of colors. THanks
Colby Tullier The hull is light graphite. Darkest color on bottom that doesn't cost extra. Its a great color for not showing water spots and marks. The deck is charcoal.
Thanks for the reply. What about the interior? WHat is the darkest part? Im bummed they don't offer the charcoal for 2019, and i'm only left with gunmetal graphite and I really can't get an idea of what that compares to as the charcoal...
