Rebuilt front suspension, custom built exhaust, final rust repairs to the battery tray.
Everything comes together for one happy Dodge owner
Exhaust ended up looking nicer than i expected ... good jobb guys
@Rohan Hunt
Yeah thanks, we are very happy with the result. A simple design, mandrel bends and of course Tig welding helps a lot to get a clean looking result
Excellent work guys! Valiant’s really are a great car and I’ve enjoyed the videos on this one. Hope you do more valiant content in future too. Cheers
Cheers Nathan
They have almost been the quiet achiever in the Aussie classic seen. Great to see there is still a lot of love out there for them.
Yes, keep an eye out as there is plans for some other Valiant/Dodge/Chrysler content to come in the future.
If your mate can find one fit a 16.1 R/T steering box an shaft to the steering column . The original box is 20.1 . Good work boys 👍🏻🇦🇺💯⛽️.
@Brian and Glenda Harkin
Steering box is 100% in the future, this one is a bit crispy inside
Index the plugs . Fit a VG Pacer fan less drag .
@Brian and Glenda Harkin
She's not the most pristine of condition internally.
Our mate is still thinking about a direction with the engine longterm
Shame the first bit of pipe on the extractors didn’t go over the extractors outlet pipe for better flow . But you boys have done a good tidy job . Not sure on his wheels an tyre size but looks like there higher then standard . Iv always found there best with the same shocks all round an the same tyre size all round . On my valiants i manly ran 14 x7 rims an 235 . 60 tyres for the best handling . 👍🏻🇦🇺💯⛽️.
@Brian and Glenda Harkin
Cheers thanks
Turned out to be a lot more work than was first planned.
The extractors sorta ended up 'is what it is' kinda thing, being left over from another project just had to make it work.
The wheels and tyres are 15inch. Gives it a bit of a look he's happy with at moment.
Fit the biggest air cleaner you can as your motor works like a air pump . You will thank me . Owned many MOPARS big block Dodges Chargers pacers etc . Best of luck finding someone that knows how to Wheel Alin your MOPAR most are useless .
@Brian and Glenda Harkin
Yeah the air cleaner is more about the look to be honest. It has a 350 holley trying to breathe through a restrictive adapter to a stock manifold, there's definitely some long term breathing issues.
Wheel alignment on Val's etc has always been an issue, definitely luck finds them hahaha
It's a die not a tap 😊
@Drifter Drifter
Yep caught out😆.
How’s that Barra conversion going? 😮
Hahahaha
Not for this one, but.....hhhmmm🤔
Will this exhaust fit when you rip out that garbage engine and fit a barra in it?
@Luke Maloney
Not everything in life can be solved with a barra.
Using mandrel bends allows a smaller exhaust size to flow well without the added drone of a larger pipe size. Won't get into the sound of created by said barra engine🤣.
For this cruiser its added performance while not being too loud on a long trip.
