I love mejais on tahm, it's just bad if you decide to go full ap afterwards. If I'm ahead it usually gives me that little bit extra damage to kill that full tank wouldn't give me, without setting me too far behind like going full ap would do. So heartsteel, mejais and defensive items with demonic / death cap 5th and 6th item.
