I've been watching BCU since 2002 when I was in high school and wanted to March for them even though my high school was a feeder for Jackson. Never went though and honestly glad I didn't. BCU has great presentation but when going against a band like Jackson state, they definitely showed a clear difference. I've never seen a band dance and break so much in a game and then the same in the 5th.
#facts! It's great that they are in unification but man its time to play more, especially when they sound so good when they do play. And updating the book shouldve been done, just a case of one man sticking to his guns for to long.

Well....ladies and gentleman.... you just witnessed the difference between a SWAC and a MEAC band.......BCU is gonna be in for a rude awakening in the SWAC....each week is gonna be a battle.....what you used to doing in the MEAC wont work in the SWAC.
Man, I love BCU's sound but if they focus on new music and stop with these 5 minute tuba breaks and all that dancing and chanting they will be a monster.....but they took that L #THEE #luvtheboom
BCU musical arrangements sounds very elementary-like in level. Also baseline for a couple of their music sounds the same.. like the arranger (Portier) ran out of ideas.
Notice when Tenn. State- "Aristocrat of Bands" left the MEAC, the aggression in their arrangements and delivery changed... Plus, Tenn. State is under the direction of a band director that is a product of a SWAC conference school and band... MEAC band traditions pattern from the PWI bands of the midwest, which influenced all HBCU marching bands... The Ohio State, Purdue Univ., Univ. of Michigan... MEAC bands are clean and they encompass a symphony-like sound, very few dramatics... I applaud the discipline of tradition, however a survey out of the norm is acceptable as well.

Having marched at cookman wells won't let them blow like swac bands.. Trust we come from the same High schools as swac bands 🤷🏽♂️... Have to play within in integrity of the horn 🤦🏽♂️.. I love swac bands they play how we playing in high school 😂👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Nice try, JSU is playing collegiate arrangements with different genres, while BCU is playing elementary arrangements from someone's beginning band class. It's a clear sound and arrangement difference, and JSU is cleaner. I don't know why you meacs think y'all are being more musically advance when your not its clear 😂😂
