- Last month, I made a video about Imam Ghazali. In that video, we discussed Ghazali's scientific concepts. In response to that video, Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Raja made a video in which he raised many objections to the content of my video. This video is a response to those objections.

Bro. This is the first time I've ever heard this as a criticism of Al Ghazali. I don't know why this translation is the way it is but plz read the English translation. Al Ghazali doesn't say that the most merciful (Ar-rahman ) and the king (maalik) are eparate entities from God. What he actually says is they are attributes of God that are distinct from each other. His knowledge is not his hearing, his hearing is not his sight/seeing, his kingship is not his mercy, his mercy is not his wrath etc. I don't know why she presented it as if he's saying they're all different entities implying different Gods...

@@moawiztaimur I don't know what translation she was using but that seems to be a very misleading translation. Plz just read the English translation of incoherence of the philosophers. Most of the points raised in the video would be cleared up as I believe there's huge misinterpretation happening here due to either bad translation or her not understanding Urdu philosophical language (I don't know how that goes, but I reckon it to be different from normal Urdu since most English used in philosophy is also in ways different from standard understanding of the same words)
@@aashirali2172 Al-Ghazali on Occasionalism is a philosophical doctrine that attributes all causal power to God. According to occasionalism, created substances cannot be efficient causes of events. Instead, God is the only true cause, and what we perceive as causes and effects in the world are merely occasions for God to exert His will.
Al-Ghazali was a strong proponent of occasionalism. He argued that natural causes and effects do not have intrinsic causal powers. Instead, every event that occurs in the world is directly caused by God. For instance, fire does not burn cotton because of some inherent power in the fire, but because God wills the burning to occur whenever fire and cotton come into contact. Furthermore, Al-Ghazali's occasionalism is rooted in his theological views that emphasize God's omnipotence and continuous involvement in the world. He believed that attributing causal power to created things undermines the doctrine of God’s absolute sovereignty and omnipotence.

Hello Miss.... I have written this for you after spending substantial amount of time kindly have a read....
Let me break it down for you miss, irrespective of what Qaiser Ahmed Raja said, the contention of Imam Ghazali for which he(ghazali) gave the example of cotton and fire was as follows, to understand that lets go beyond the cotton and fire's knowledge available at his time, the chemical reactions occur in nature due to certain fundamental tendencies of the atoms and energy, like when cotton touch the fire the that initiate a process of equalibrium in atom where it tent to have electrons in proportion that stables it, and when the atoms get stable at the given system, the reaction stops and the cotton become ashe, ghazali contended that these tendencies of atom are not necessities and can be in any other way but they are not, because God allowed them in that manner. He said "they call it a necessity because they have no proof beyond observation."
The problem is when he says "it's not because of fire but by will of God" you reckon he denied the relationship between cotton and fire, but in reality he defined the relation, that it happens not because of necessity, It can happen in any other way but God allowed to be as it happens before our eyes.
Now coming back to what Qaiser ahmed Raja said "ghazali ne essa kabhi nhi kaha ki rui nhi jalegi" he was referring to views of ghazali on general conduct of fire on cotton, and that doesn't negate his initial position that fire won't "necessarily" burn cotton if come in contact.
Miss you showed the video in the thumbnail is different then you reacted. In fact the video you showed in thumbnail clarify problem you presented. The video uploaded by QAR on the response to your video was "Defending Ghazali | A Response to @uzmarumi256" on 27 April 2024, he never called you "Desi secular" or "don't get into contingency argument", you reacted different video, he was very respectful to you....

Now the video he created in you response, he said in that video at 3:25 "Ghazali is not deny causality rather provided a framework for it, for its true nature.....neither fire decides that it will burn not cotton decided that it will get brunt, then these are contingent things and there is something other nessecery existence that give base to this causation." What he is trying to say is as I define above 'the fundamental tendency of energy atom is get stable, these principles are there not because of its existence it's because of God that ordered those principles to 'be'.

See, when Ghazali's thoughts were reinforced, people stopped researching and critical thinking, free thoughts became blasphemy and that ultimately lead to downfall of Muslims in Arab and Persia. Whatever Ghazali wrote had a significant impact over the minds of the people of that time and it slowly but surely damaged the scientific fabric of society and later on ofcourse many religious personality came and contributed in the destruction. I have simple question,
Agar Allah ne har chiz ko create kr k 1 direction or system mein dal to dia but wo iss mein koi changing ya effect nhi krta to phir allah pr tawakul ka kia matlab ha jo quran ki ayaat hein iss bare mein or phir taqdeer kia hai ?????
Mein ye samajhta hu k allah ne har chiz ko 1 system mein bnaya ha jo k 1 normal common bat ha but dunia ki beshumar chizon mein allah changing krta ha jab wo chahta ha for example dua k zarye se halat ka badal jana kisi ko good luck de dena kisi ko uske bure kamon ki saza dunia mein mil jana kisi ko olaad de dena or buhut kuch.
