Fantastic run man! Some people recommended me this run and it's the first time I've seen tempered spirit blade being used on a Speedrun. Makes sense here since you can counter the roar regardless of distance from the monster and still gain spirit level, but man timing that on gaimagorm roar looks pretty tough, props to you!
i appreciate it bro! tempered spirit blade is really situational but i think this is one of the instances where it can shine - also it's cool seeing you here, i've seen your vids before man keep up the good work

Not that i have any problems with speedrunners that use mods or get hacked charms or Qurio crafting. But seeing someone not using them and rely totally on their skill is wholesome for me. Iam not even a LS main but your determination against the odds has inspired me enough to start using it today. Subbed! Congratulations for such a clean and beautiful run!
Any tips for someone who hasn't used LS since Tri are welcome.
i appreciate it! if i had to give some general advice for long sword i would suggest trying to pick up on some visual or auditory cues during hunts that would help you be able to tell which attack a monster is about to use and/or help you counter an attack consistently

thanks! i think helmbreaker would be a good option for damage during shorter openings, but the issue is that it would replace tempered spirit blade which is extremely good against gaisma

how do you keep it up from climbing? should i run dereliction 3 or is 1 enough? i have to farm it for parts and i really appreciate your strats. i really like your big bomb barrel counters. i only used small barrel bomb
as far as i know the only way to "prevent" him from climbing is by defeating him fast enough so that he doesn't have a chance to, and also there seems to be rng involved since i've had him start climbing at different times in my runs. dereliction 1 should be fine if you need the skills from other armor pieces, you would just miss out on a bit of attack or element so it's up to you if the trade off is worth

My main reason for switching off Reckoning Combo was because of the huge endlag on the final slash... I didn't even know you could immediately sheath after it until watching this, I never thought to try that. Is there any other input that can be used after the the final reckoning spirit slash?
you can also roll or go into special sheathe/sacred sheathe depending on which switch skill you have equipped

You weren't able to add heroics to your set? It seems like it could make considerable changes from what this run showed.
unfortunately heroics and the dango skill adrenaline don't stack

Can someone explain how or why can he trigger barrel explosion and also block it ?
if you swing at a large or mega barrel bomb with spirit slash 1 you can mash the input for some of the ls counters and you will counter the explosion

Tragic that the third hit of Sacred Sheathe doesn't seem to proc crit draw.
i believe it does actually, unless it was changed in a recent update
@@heaterson905 actually I think you're right. For some reason the 3rd hit doesn't always make the same "slash" sound that the other crits do, which makes me think it didn't crit. But I think it's just a sound design thing

not sure which move you are talking about but if it isn't in the default long sword moveset it is one of the switch skills

The head is kinda obvious - kamura legs - remobra weist - chest and arms are from the barbarian set unlocked via the buddys
