I have the previous model of the Tucktec. Awesome for fishing. You got the seat too far forward. That bar is the foot rest.
I have this exact kayak and it’s GREAT for an apartment dweller like me. I use it exclusively for fishing and have taken it out over a couple dozen times. It’s not complicated, it’s not hard, I love mine.

Hey Lojo! I have the 8 foot and the 10 foot and I’m very happy with my purchase. Me and my sister fish all the time using them. It looks like you got the 8 foot, and I can confidently say the 10 foot as way bigger and way more secure! I hope you see this comment and hope it helps😂🤝
Yeah, and the 8ft kayak has a weight limit of 200 lbs. The 10ft has a limit of 300 lbs and would be much better for lojo

i have 2 tuctecks and i love em the 2022 model is better IMO but the skeg on the 2023 model is alot better. Ive upgraded the seat to a stadium seat and its alot better. they can take a beating but when water pours in just use a pump to get it out and ive had alot of fun with it . Watching you fold it for the first time is super entertaining because your worse at it then the grannies in the FB group for it lol but still its a cool lil gadget . if you ever come to cali ill take you on an adventure with it.

@josecruz021 a cheap Walmart stadium seat that's a lil too wide but it gets the job done

Tackle2thepeople is a youtube channel who the guy on it uses a foldable kayak almost every video.
There are a lot of models of those foldable kayaks now. Oru is supposed to have the best but I have never personally tried any of them. Awesome video and it looked like that kayak was a like of fun! Keep the content coming!
I have the Oru Bay ST that works amazing. I fish out of it all the time and is super solid. I wouldn't want anything less advanced than the Bay.. Lake and Inlet look quite slow and prob. don't track that great.
I've seen a few comparison videos with the Tucktec and the Oru. All of them have said that the Tucktec is better overall, especially when you consider the price.

My buddy just got one a few days ago we’ve had it out on the lake alongside my paddle board and it works great considering he’s a bit lighter than you he hasn’t gotten any water in it once while out on the water and it can hold a fishing pack rods and ice chest in the back

These look really cool. I know I’m wildly late to the video but isn’t that bar to rest your feet on and you can adjust the seat back a bit if you need? I don’t know. I want to buy one of these to take to the pier and play with just for fun.

Oru folding kayak is a good one, been inspecting them for a few years and never had to save anyone out on my lake I work at San Pablo resivor
Ive had a couple of these for a few years and I just bought two more! I love these for river runs because you can throw them in any car instead of needing a truck to drop off and a truck at the landing.
I can not believe this product exists, but even more - I can not believe that it works! I never really want to stand up in a canoe or kayak, but holy cow - this one is definitely just for sitting! Very cool kayak. It’s not meant to be a tournament kayak. But would make a great backwoods, off the beaten path, lightweight kayak. It would be great to know what the weight limit is, though. Especially if you needed to get across a patch of water with you and your gear. Maybe island camping. Anyway, great video. Really liked it. 😎👍👍

It has 3 little cutouts for the support bar lol you are supposed to put it on the furthest one and rest your feet on it like the pedals in regular sitdown kayaks

You should take it to a pond/lake where you know you can catch fish 3lbs or better. Throw big swim baits.
I watched another video on this foldable kayak. The one in that video had what looked like styrofoam on cover the side edges where you might rest your arms. The guy in that video said they also have extra stabilizers available, which he had, and installed on his.
it has been quite some years since I have been fishing. Maybe you could do a series of shorts on the knots you use to tie rigs, lures, and baits. Make reccommended knots for the different types of lures-

I got the 8 foot 2023 verison and with the stability i can stand up. I think the 10 ft he should be able to stand up but I don't know. this thing you could hike to a secluded area and just fish there. pretty dope.

I have a sit-on-top kayak that was $240 at Walmart brand new. It weighs 55 lb. Sitting down and fishing it's super stable works great. You can stand up in it but it's a little sketchy mainly because it's a bit narrow. The seat has held up well but it's not the most comfortable after sitting in it for a couple hours. But definitely worth the price point. Loads and unloads from the roof of my Mustang quick and easy quick and easy LOL
I was doing some googling about bass pond management, and it says that you need to be stocking with pan fish about twice a year to maintain healthy populations.

I saw Tackle2thepeople use one, I bought it was what I needed it to be, a kayak that fit in the trunk of my G6, the customer support they offer is great, a buckle broke I let them know they sent me a few for free. But now that I've got my own pickup truck I prefer a more ridged sit on top style kayak. I have an older model, and it's interesting to see all the little upgrades they added.

Check out the origami Paddler. I can stand up like a paddle board or sit down like a regular kayak. There's no edges to suck in water so you can't sink it, but you can flip it.

Just a thought but instead of killing or releasing the smaller bass n the creek or whatever u should take them and put them in your “hidden pond” that u used to film at when u first found it and stock the small fish and stock some bait back there and let them grow n that pond then when they get bigger put them n the other pond. Maybe find a way to make an easier trail to the other pond.

LOJO it actually didn’t do to bad . Be good for pond or creek fishing maybe river but don’t know about while it’s generating .. if ya do just be safe .Might can take a small piece of 1/4” or 1/2” plywood put in bottom might could stand up then .. Another awesome video. 👍👍👍👍Yall Keep’em coming

Great video...Looks like you got the 8 footer, which is for kids and smaller peeps. The 10 footer is definitely more roomy. The Oru foldables are sweet and prettier but 2x the price for the eqiuv flat water model.

Folding kayaks have been around forever, as well as foldable canoes. They come in varying strengths and capabilities just as a normal kayak would. The one in the video was quite flimsy compared to others. There is another CZcams personality that regularly fishes from a foldable kayak and has no issues with his. I think it all varies based on model maker and quality of the product actually.
