Wow looks familiar. in 2017 our first night off the Keele we saw these green clouds quickly approaching us so we tied everything down tight and hoped it would be enough. The first gust hit full force blowing away our tent and collapsed shelter as the rain pelted down. My wife had been clever enough to put on her dry suit, but I had not. By the time we rescued our gear I was slightly hypothermic and spent the rest of the night wrapped up in an emergency blanket inside the shelter. Fortunately morning dawned sunny and calm. We certainly learned our lesson and friends now think us paranoid when we camp on sand or gravel bars.

One thing I always do is tie off all the boats. You can not loose a boat.
I have short cords tied to my tent that I can tie to rocks or sticks (piled with rocks) to secure my tent.
The day my tent turned into a tumbleweed was during an early morning pack up and I wanted to dry the bottom of the tent. It decided to roll around a bit damaging the fly.
