- Pui Wan is a miniature artist in Kuala Lumpur. (To be clear, she’s a full-size artists who makes miniatures.) Her artwork preserves the memory of the beautiful old buildings and communities in Kuala Lumpur that are being demolished to make room for new construction.
It looks like she even made every separate piece of candy in the store. I'm impressed!
Dedication and commitment, is what it is. Incredible stuff.
Yah it looks so real
Carnivorous plant yeah, most miniature artists are very attentive to details . There are many more like her, but her miniatures are far better in my opinion.
This is one of the most bittersweet, and inspirational, things I've seen in a long time. Thanks for posting it!
She is an artist, historian, documentarian and visionary. Wise beyond her years, on her way to philosopher and Nobel laureate.
She is impacting her world. A woman impacting her world.
WOMEN IMPACTING WORLD!
Scream it from the rooftops!!

Terbaek orang Malaysia. 👍🏼 Sungguh teliti, tak semua orang boleh buat macam ni 🤩
Special thanks to this young lady! She is doing a valuable service to her culture. So many times, people only think of culture & history as the far past, & fail to realize it continues to evolve right around them.
Thanks also AO, for making it possible to see & appreciate her art.
Absolutely agree!!
You are a true artist. Love your work. I was involved in miniature art during my early teens back in the late 1970s. I made sofa from fabric and sponge, kitchen utensils from wax, etc.
wow that is just amazing, I can't believe the level of detail that's in those models.
Isn't it incredible! It must take so much time and patience.
Yeah, I really wish I had that kind of patience and confidence in my ability. I might try to do something like this. at least the material isn't a huge financial loss if you mess up :D
I have the same idea with my urban photography... I have my pictures/videos to remind me of those buildings that are now gone... Excellent segment 👍🏽
It's a really good way to memorialize a moment in time. Glad to hear you're doing it too in your own way :)
Thanks for what ou do, too!
I love the art of miniatures, but to replicate history this way is astounding. Brilliant and stunning.
PicoWorm is a genius talent. I absolutely love seeing her art.
This made me smile. Thank you.
We do what we can! :)

You're welcome, Cynthia!
Wonderful project and wonderful craftsmanship. Kudos to Pui Wan for doing this :)
Clever and important. Thank You.
Awesome. She's amazing. If a photo speaks 1M words... These miniatures will express 1M feelings.
We'll have to let her know you said that!
Atlas Obscura 😅
Well said!
Such a wonderful take on miniatures. Great work too.
This is beautiful! I'm so happy to be seeing this. I wish there were miniaturists that were doing this everywhere. So much of the old world is disappearing and it's nice to be able to look back on it for future ideas.
wow this is so amazing!
Great! Thanks for sharing!
This is so cool
I love miniature things! And this video can be very helpful and truly inspiring :D
Hope it continues to inspire you! It really is such a lovely art form.
Very good art.
great and good job👍🏼 good job, i am doing also miniature art ❤️
Awesome
I would love to see how she makes the items!
Good job
The proportional size of the items between each other need better work. Otherwise good job
Does the artist have a website or anything we can take a look at?
Look up Picoworm on fb or @picoworm on IG
Wonder if she will include the graffiti to give a authentic feel for the neighborhood she is recreating?
Mini graffiti would be very interesting to recreate, for sure.
