The contrast is too funny for me not to point out.
Most of the hermits are purposefully going slow.
Doc is too, for the builds he's planning, but needs to be going faster or he won't get to them
Cheers to the Hermits who extended the early game. It's been so nice to watch you guys play with limited resources and take your time. I remember seasons where Hermits would kill the dragon and get Elytra on day two. This is so much better. It's on pace to be the best season ever.
Skizz and impulse laughing over the Frozen reference is a peak tired dad moment.

I reeeaaally hope the shopping district ends up utilizing the mail system somehow. I think a delivery service would be super cool and I missed opportunity if it doesn’t.
I think Tango mentioned something about that! Something like people being able to order anything from shops from their own base :D

Hearing Skizz get progressively more miffed every time Impulse found diamonds was hilarious
Love having skizz hovering around and asking questions about the details of the farms you two built! Adds a great tutorial energy.... And right as I was typing this comment out Impulse broke it down and validated my thoughts at around 18:30 lmao. Love it!!

So Impulse got:
- grass blocks
- brown wool
- brown glass
- light gray terracotta (+glazed)
- red terracotta (+glazed)
- quarz
Which requires:
- a cocoa bean farm for the brown dye; used to dye sheep for brown wool and crafting brown glass
- either villagers or manual terracotta farming plus dyeing (= bonemeal and wither rose farm)
- manual grass block farm
- villagers or manual sand farming for the glass
- a bartering farm for the quarz (since I think the Permit includes nether quarz)
- possibly a good autosmelter for the glazed terracotta
Impulse already has a wool farm so that's no issue, as well as access to poppies through the shared iron farm (for red dye).
So much for the whole "I don't want to work with villagers too much" mindset most of the hermits have this season lol
My fave version of the phrase is “you get what you get and you don’t get upset”
I always heard “don’t pitch a fit”, but seems like most of us have forgotten that basic kid life lesson lol.
The phrase is different based on regional accents. If you pronounce get as “git” you say “don’t throw a fit.” If you pronounce it as “get” you say “don’t get upset.”
Funny thing is that I have been hearing that since I was in kindergarten

Love the idea of the permits! Seems it will help encourage everyone to build shops without redundant items being sold

What I appreciate about that kelp farm design, is it's easily replicable on bedrock because it doesn't use flying machines.
I had the Same thoughts tbh, yes it is expensive but it still is applicable in both Minecraft versions. Really enjoy seeing farms and ideas that can translate to both versions.

Ooh you could totally make some deal with Doc, since he's got the dirt block permit! Maybe he's even willing to set up some kind of farm with it... :)
Imagine if the permits were in season 9 and they'd used Doc's dirt to cover the perimeter

Doc has been making some very generous deals for his empire. I think he expects to be very successful, which doesnt shock me considering how much diamond ore he accumulated last season. He's definitely a good hermit to strike a deal with.

Impulse, You should add a dispenser with a water bucket to your Zombie farm to convert them to drowned. That way you can get copper out of the deal or not if you don't want to.

The HermitsPermits is such a fun concept, especially with how the Joker permits works, this seasons gonna be interesting.
If there's going to be a war in this season, it's better be an economic war concerning the permits. 😂

@@solarprogeny6736 You said it yourself: roleplay. Why wouldn't some black market shenanigans be part of the roleplay? Also, lots of Hermits will be trading and donating items with each other as they always do, which wouldn't differ that much from a "black market". My guess is that we'll see a lot of IOU's this season, and that's fine. It's the interactions that make it fun.
Someone should make Skizz an automatic amour and tool creation station.

Impulse! Impulse! With the Hermit Permit, can you like prank Skizz using it, for example; you asked for a temporary trade with any of your permit for the same tier permit of Skizz, and then put it somewhere safe, and jump into the lava pretending you lost the permit and record Skizz' reaction xD

Ilmango probably chose melons over leaves for the kelp farm since full blocks are really easy on the game engine while leaves are some of the worst unless leaf culling mods are used.

It’s kind of crazy watching u build the cactus farm on stream and then seeing it become a timelapse that isn’t even a full minute long. The work y’all put in is so impressive!

I really like that the mega projects they're doing are for the benefit of their communities instead of just for self gain.
Zombified Piglin farm, feeding good nuggets into an auto crafter, which then feeds into a Piglin bartering setup for quartz. Sounds like a great project, and you'll get even more rotten flesh for your cleric 😂
Last season, and also this season it seems, "Gem watch Impulse build farms"is a thing I really enjoyed a lot and now we also have "Skizz asks Impulse about farms"

You could set up an auto pig barter pu piglins on slabs with hoppers beneath and dispensers filled with gold and even go a step further by creating a gold farm that automatically refills the bartering farm.

Good idea for grass is terraforming around the server like fixing edges here and there and taking down floating blocks. Love the vids!
You could probably make a XP bank by loading the cactus into storage minecarts. Level 0->30 means 1395 XP, which means ~22 stacks of Cactus. A detector rail will output a a signal strength of 12 which will then send of the minecart. The minecart is sent to the smoker/furnace and returns when empty. The furnace XP cank can probably be tiled 1 block wide.
Can you put the overflow into a smoker/furnace that will collect XP until the end of the season and you will see how much XP it will contain at the end of the season?
Just for commercial trading between different hermits to get resources to sell your products there will have so many minecart traffic in the post office rail nether things, I'm so hyped by this economy system !

The permit thing is really cool. Suppliers could charge permit holders.
I like this edition of the shopping district, too often i think hermits tended to double up on shops, which did help with competition, but then saturated it. This allows each hermit their own corner of the market.

You can probably automate terracotta, albeit with some difficulty. Hook up a mud farm to a platform with drip stone beneath in and you’ve got clay that can be smelted into mud.
