Bullet journaling saved me during university, it really helped me manage what seemed overwhelming. Now after I got my degree I have a very simple schedule and it doesn't make much sense anymore to have weekly spreads. I kind of miss it tbh. Your spreads look really nice!

Yours, while still requiring so much talent and dedication, seems almost... approachable in comparison? Warm and real. And very inspiring. Maybe I'll get some grid pages for my planner and do a few inspired by these ❤
Setting up a new one takes time to decide what to include, create “once a year” pages, etc. But I do best when my monthly spreads are more simple. One drawing a month is about all I can manage. 😅

I admire how you've painstakingly created this! I've been using planners from the same seller for 4 years now which have all of the above readymade in them. The only drawback is that the sketches for each month are added in by them 😅 I really like your idea of sketching a place one would want to go to.
I have considered buying a ready made planner; I’ve seen some lovely ones. But it’s also nice to customise them and try different things or add extra pages to a month if I want. Keeping a planner helps me so much!
I am also a bullet journaler! you're probably the person who does it most similarly to me, that I've seen online anyway. the main difference is that you do a lot of hand drawing, while i use stickers and washi tape. Love your work!
I’ve had years where so used lots of washi tape. I like that there is no right or wrong way with bullet journalling and each new month is a new opportunity. 😊

Thank you!! This journal is made by Dingbats. I love their bullet journals. I made the stamps with lino cutters and a rubbery material called (I think) safety cut block print. I have a small collection of stamps I’ve carved that I like to use for different things. Some are made from Artgum and vinyl erasers. They are SO much fun to make!! 😊

I mostly need help organising things but I also like to have a mini-diary (hence the memories page and habit trackers). Last year I needed a break from excessive tracking and kept it VERY simple. Keep your expectations for a bullet journal simple and realistic and it might encourage you to create one. 😊

The monthly spread took a few hours and then the drawing for January took me about an hour and a half. The “set up” pages in the front took awhile… I worked on it across a few evenings. Usually, I will make each monthly spread at the end of the previous month and it takes me a few hours. I’m pretty boring compared to many. My focus is on utilitarianism over design. Once I settle on a monthly design I tend to repeat it again and again, which makes it easier to replicate.
Hi Leslie, Happy New Year! One of my resolutions this year is to use more watercolors in my bullet journal, but it’s warping the pages, and it’s ultimately now very tedious to journal in. How do you stop that from happening?
I would maybe try watercolour pencils. You could lightly colour in areas and add only a little water. I’d also make sure to get one with thicker pages. Good luck! 😊
May I ask how long you spend each day on the daily drawing? I find it hard to get into an activity if I don't know how long it will take, so I just don't start😢
I only do one drawing per month, which takes between 1-2 hours. I make each “monthly” spread a few days before each new month and it takes me an evening whilst watching tv. 😊

Thanks! I started mine after leaving formal teaching at a school. I needed help learning how to be a self employed artist, so this is my “boss.” 😅
