  • The percussion, a comparatively young instrument, once quite classical.
With works by Ravel, Debussy, Saint-Saëns and Milhaud, an exciting symbiosis of the sounds of percussion and masterpieces of classical literature results.
Hearing these works in a new way, feeling them in a new way and presenting them in an extraordinary sound is another step to anchor the percussion in the classical music world in a contemporary, progressive and appealing way.
    The programme:
Maurice Ravel (1875 - 1937) - Le Tombeau de Couperin
    Camille Saint-Saëns (1835 - 1921) - Danse Macabre
    Claude Debussy (1882 - 1918) - Deux Arabesque
    Darius Milhaud (1892 - 1974) - Scaramouche
    arrangements by Luca Staffelbach
