After I saw Ceruledge's signature move bitter blade is boosted by the sharpness ability, I couldn't help myself but build a suboptimal meme team around it. The battles in this video are from series 1, which is why there's no paradox pokemon in case you were wondering. I didn't want to let this footage go to waste, so hope you don't mind the outdated battles lol.

Ceruledge and Armarouge should have gotten Sharpness and Mega Launcher respectively. Big missed opportunity.

I actually theorize that Sharpness was initially created as an ability to give to Ceruledge as a counterpart to Armarouge's Mega Launcher earlier in development, but for whatever reason they scrapped it afterward. Maybe they just thought it would've been too strong or something? I kinda doubt that though

Here's a dumb strategy we came up with with a friend.
First piece is a Dedenne with Plus as an ability, salac berry as its item, and fling, entrainment, and 2 other moves.
Second piece is a psychic or ghost type that is slower than Dedenne (I tried it with M-Indeedee once, was fun. Arma might be good for this too). Item is weakness policy. Moveset is stored power and 3 moves of your choice.
The idea is that you fling the salac berry, *activate the weakness policy*, and then entrainment the plus, giving it a 1.5 spa boost.
I'd like to see you use (and improve) this strat

A fun strategy I've been trying to work is talonflame and bax, using ember for therm boost and tailwind for speed control, plus weakness policy wind rider brambleghast for some extra fun

QOTD: When access to Bank comes to Scarlet & Violet, I hope that one of the strategies you consider trying out for a video is changing Ursaluna's ability into Iron Fist while having it hold the Punching Glove. For some reason, Headlong Rush is a move that gets powered up by Iron Fist. Additionally, if I recall, Ursaluna has access to Drain Punch, Close Combat, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, and Thunder Punch. I forget if the Ursaluna line has access to Bulk Up, too, but I'm more certain that they can get Belly Drum.

I know you’ve already used this strat but I still think the absolute funniest strat was magic bounce parting shot having that absolutely bizarre interaction where it swaps out the magic bounce user and lowers the parting shot users stats for proccing defiant. That last battle is hysterically funny and you know that they had a flamigo in the back with costar to get the boosts from Coalossal 😂

Team strategy: Banded explosion garganacle and helping hand annihilape. Pair that with a perish song murkrow and phantom force on ape to dodge it.

It still would be cool to see a self proc thermal exchange with weakness policy for Baxcalibur. I used the method with tera steel and have ceruledge be choiced with minus spatk lava plume to have everything trigger first but knowing you I feel ya can make it so much better

I may not play pokemon anymore, but one of my favorite 'strats' was burn orb guts façade ursaring. Thing hit so god damned hard!
Now that ursaluna is a thing, with 140 attack and 130 hp... well, whatever wall smashing power ursaring had has now been upgraded to big bundles of dynamite. A good build for when you just don't want to do complicated strats, when you just wanna ooga booga all over an opponent that day.
Skill-Swap Tinkaton would be a funny strat. Huge Power Gigaton Hammer goes hard.

I would like to see some strats for either attacking through Protect, or just punishing for Protect with Encore. Protect is soooooooo overused in competitive Pokemon, I think you could crush some hopes and dreams by making Protect a weakness rather than a defense.
I use norm terra feint tech breloom, or scizor either one works wonders.
