    I don’t want to sound dramatic, but this is seriously the help I’ve been looking all over for! Thank you for putting this all together for me!! ❤

    I love that our younger siblings will have more info in their weekly books and can help provide information and clarity to their older siblings!

    Is there a reason you decided to use a 3 ring binder for Complex and do spiral bound for Fractions? I have students this year doing Complex, Fractions, Naturals, and Digits so i'm trying to make all the organizational decisions.

      @@abbyself My fractions kid can leave her spiral bound book at home (she won’t need to take it to community). My Complex kid will have an easier time just taking the current and previous week for her community day.

    Thank you so much for this video and your other one on how you see using this at home. My question is since your booklets are now not attached together, will you have a small notebook that your Chall A (and you as the director) will put your 2 weeks in to bring to class? And will she bring her charts to class too? I am a director of Chall A and not sure if we will have them reference the charts in class. I assume they might need them?

    • @AmbersClassicalClassroom
      @AmbersClassicalClassroom  Před měsícem +1

      They will need the charts for the one week of class (but not necessarily all of the charts). And yes, I have a smaller flex binder that I organize for my student for the week.

    I’m about to have a complete meltdown because I’m a Cha B director with a daughter in Cha B but will be using The MathMap. I received my booklets but just read book 1 and I’m full of anxiety and feel lost!! Will someone please help me.

      Watch my other video on using the Math Map at home (I also have one on using it on community day but that won’t apply for Challenge B - not this year at least). I think the Math Map at home video will help you feel better.

    This is very helpful, thank you! Did you also cut the charts down the seam so each page is in its own page protector?

    • @AmbersClassicalClassroom
      @AmbersClassicalClassroom  Před měsícem +1

      No. I just took the staples out from the middle and cut on the seam. They fit in the page protectors I had and a flex binder just fine without cutting anymore.

    Is there a class to teach us how to understand and use the program?

      CC has a ton of resources. This is my quick video which I think covers the logistics succinctly:

    Can I ask what you put in your folders for weeks 15 and 30? Since those structure look back at previous weeks

      @@laurawaschkowski2617 I removed the charts for weeks 15 and 30 and put those in my chart binder. Then I just have the full booklets kept together for 15 and 30 since we use those for our Blue Book exams.

    This is so helpful! Thank you!! As a mama of four with my first starting Challenge A this year, do you think there is any way to do the work separately so that we don’t have to buy the level four times over? Or do you think it’s only practical to use it as a consumable?

    • @AmbersClassicalClassroom
      @AmbersClassicalClassroom  Před měsícem +1

      I’ve heard that some people are planning to put their work pages in page protector sleeves and have the kids write with dry erase. This lets them do the work on the page (since we can’t photocopy) but would keep it blank so your next kiddo can use.

    • @erinwood07
      @erinwood07 Před měsícem +1

      I looked into this further and actually found that CC has expressly given permission to copy the reproducible pages for at-home use within your own family. So I may scan and print copies of the work pages. Commenting here since others may have the same question!

      @@erinwood07 This is inaccurate information. We are not allowed to copy any part of The Math Map for use at home. This is a consumable product.

    • @erinwood07

      @@candoeller711check the copyright in the front of The Math Map. I can’t post a photo, but it says “permission is granted for copies of reproducible pages to be made for the use within your own family.”
      I do think it is intended to be consumable, but based on that clause in the copyright, I think it is above board to make copies for our children if we wish to.
