    Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I’ve ripped out my knitting NUMEROUS times trying to resolve the wraps when heading in the “other” direction. I’m confident now that I can do this!

    Thank you so much for posting this. I am knitting in the round so when I get to these last pick up stitches (which were on the purl wrap and turn side) I was so lost. Thank you again. You saved my sweater project!!! I wish I could give you a big hug (guess it would be an elbow bump now!!!).

    Thanks so much for this! I have been trying out short row designs and have been fine with working them flat. But when I did them in the round, I just could not figure out the right way to do that alternative one. There are so many short row videos that do not mention this issue at all.

    I wish I had known this technique 3 pairs of German Short Row socks ago. Thanks for this teaching, Suzanne.
    And, I can't find the Undulance pattern on Loveknitting, and I want to make those socks.

    I am converting a flat sleeveless bottom up sweater pattern to knit in the round. I want to build in steeks for the armholes. As is usually the case, the flat pattern calls for bind-offs at the underarm, 4 at the end of the first two rows and 1 at each end of the next seven rows. How do I handle the bind-offs with steeks? I've considered ssks and k2togs, or german short rows but it appears I would still need to go back and forth for at least those rows. Is there a more clever way to do this? I've watched several videos but none I've seen have a continuous round flow.

    Would it possible to use either Japanese or German short rows in the round too?

    • @SuzanneBryan
      @SuzanneBryan  Před 5 lety

      Yes, this will work for any kind of short rows.

    I can pick up wraps fine on the first side, but when I picked them up on the other side i still have holes. I picked them up the same as on the first side very frustrating.

    Hi, Suzanne. Recently I've been studying short-row sock heels. Some of them have a "coarser-look", regarding the heel diagonal view. Do you know of a short-row sock heel that has a "smoother-looking" heel diagonal? Thank you very much. :)))

    • @SuzanneBryan
      @SuzanneBryan  Před 4 lety +1

      Each person has their personal preference. Just keep trying them. You will find the one you like.

      @@SuzanneBryan Well, ok Suzanne. It's just that there are SO many, different short-row heels; it gives me "brain confusion". If I could find even one website that shows comparson photos of a few more common short-row heels, that would be a big help. Some websites have word-descriptions, one had drawings; those are no help, only more confusion. I want good photos, preferably side-by-side, & labeled. I've been studying this; no help. Thanks, anyway.😔

      @@SuzanneBryan Guess what?! I said a prayer to my Guardian Angel for help with this. Within 5 minutes I found just the exact info that I wanted (from my reply to you, above)! On a website is covered these five: wrap & turn, yarn over, German short rows, Japanese short rows, shadow wrapped. Surely, I'll find something that I like in there. (Who says that prayers aren't answered?) 😁
