    Ya, you were coming in way to hot, gotta let it start to settle after base leg on approach with 10% throttle right up to flair. Best landing edf I’ve flown but needs a lot of elevator to rotate off grass at factory recommend CG. Much better handling balanced in middle of tape on bottom of wing great flying Ryan!

    2 weekends already I’ve been having a blast with this plane got 12 flights on it best flying jet ever made got a as3x with the F-16 70mm configurations

    • @KansasCityishome
      @KansasCityishome Před 4 lety

      I got the AS3X AR636B for my t33. Just curious, did you have to do any programming with the receiver for the gyro or just did the bind and called it good? I don’t necessarily think I’ll need the gyro, but wasn’t sure if I still had to go in and program it.

    • @octane2099
      @octane2099 Před 4 lety

      KCspeed for the gyro to work no programming needed but if you want safe to work you need to face the receiver the proper way for example I use F-16 configurations so on the original F-16 the wires face the back so you need to face it the same way but for the gyro to work and no safe just install it no need to program it it’s a 3 axis gyro

    I've had a LOT of people tell me that the plane don't know it's windy. HAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Like HELL you bastards!!!!!!!! And these guys were very experienced. Now that I am way better a pilot than most of them, I say BULLSHIT!!!!!!! Try keeping the same throttle during a downwind turn on a warbird wing.. LOL Can you say stall???!!!! Yeah. Don't believe that crap. I love the windy day flying with most jets though. Especially if the wind is right down the runway. Rare, but AWESOME!!!!!!! Love the vid guys and keep em coming.. The vids I mean. Guys,, This is one beautiful bird. Reminds me of my Freewing L-39!!! My favorite of ALL my many jets. They're getting big hat expensive though. 400 bonz for it? It's FOAM!!!!!! And at least my L-39 has lights on it!! ALSO!!!!! ALL these jets don't account for thrust line. They ALL need a few degrees of up thrust out of the exhaust tube. Speaking of exhaust tubes, How about an Eflux tuned exhaust tube? 20 cents of material? Cmon guys. Let's DO THIS!!!!!!! Cruising along at half throttle it balloons up, apply full throttle and the nose gets pushed down. NOT ONLY THAT!!! It pushes the nose down on a 3/4 to full throttle take off making it JUMP off the tarmac! A proper thrust angle would help with that TREMENDOUSLY off paved runways, but EVEN MORE off grass. Do you know how many people judge whether they will buy a plan or NOT based solely upon this factor? You would have less complaints of the nose gear getting ripped out during take off if the nose wheel didn't get so much punishment. ALSO,, ( I know, big wish list, but solved by these 2 easy changes.) If the main landing gear was only slightly behind the CG when balanced correctly. Now I know that people have individual preferences to CG location, but that's greatly based on how to adjust for an out of balance thrust line and Main landing gear location/angle. Send me this plane and I'll modify it to have the exact CG and Main landing gear positioning and thrust line needed to make this and ALL your jets perform SOOOO Much better. That is a GREAT marketing concept to boot. Focus on THOSE neglected,, no HIGHLY NEGLECTED features, and you will have a WINNER every time!!!!!!!! Other small changes may be a tad bit of washout on the wingtips for stability at low speeds reducing tip stall tendencies, but Freewing seems to have that down except for the ME262.

    Great job on a maiden!! Was surprised to see you went light instead of heavy!! Nice!! This plane flies awesome on the 5-6000 packs! Flaps on a cross wind is a no no!!! Best to just land hot with flaps up!! Second flight looked way smoother and the motor sounds much happier with the bigger pack too!! That lil planes rips!!!!

    One hot bird in the wind, Socal summer wind patterns are coming soon, every day after 10:00 am the deserts to are east heat up and cause the air to rise replaced by cold air from ocean with steady 10mph becoming 15+mpg afternoons back down to 5 overnight... gotta fly early or have a wind capable bird, east west run ways are almost a must. Not really sure why I wrote all this down but it is useful to someone also excellent for riding thermals... I can get my e-flight CZ 150 a twenty minute flight 4500mah 6s zop or two zippy 5000 3s in series 🤩BB,, 1of my favorite channels🕊

    nice flight, question about a comment you made while flying where you said you didn't do any mix? I picked up from one of your previous videos the idea of using different flight modes (for the different flap positions) so that I can trim out any bad characteristics in flight, is this something that you no longer do?

    • @PilotRyanMedia
      @PilotRyanMedia  Před 2 lety

      Just depends on the plane and if it needs it. Flight modes are a great way to be able to trim the plane in any condition. When I talk about a mix it’s just for flap and elevator. I just do a mix and usually don’t do flight modes. Only because I usually don’t need it.

    I think Motion RC has a receiver/gyro that might help with that wind problem Mike:) :) . Matter of fact I am going to Maiden my T-33 tomorrow with your new Admiral 600 SP. What Mode do you recommend. Its in C now. Also put the flaps on R knob with 10 % down elevator. Any other recommendations be fore I fly it as I'm a little nervous.

    Hey Ryan! I have just got the T33 but I'm a little confused about battery placement. I'm going to be running a 5000 Admiral like you do in the video. You push this right upto the foam bulkhead yet in the manual it states to push a 5000 70mm from the back of the battery tray. I posted about this on the motion Facebook group yesterday and had a huge mixed response. Are you flyi g with a stabiliser in this video?
