The interior look of this fiat ducato version still looks modern

A well presented & straightforward tutorial, no fancy singing & dancing, straight to the point, in fact this one is the way all video tutorials should be.
Many thanks you've been a great help.

Really helpful video, clear and informative. You were fitting the same series of radio as I was trying to do, this video helped a great deal, my only problem was that the Pioneer is 2cm longer than the OEM Blaupunkt, that radio rested on a small shelf at the back of the slot, the Pioneer would not go in until that shelf was removed. After that it was straightforward. Thank you.

You mentioned an adapter kit for the radio you installed. On this video you use the exact same camper can as mine, could you tell me what adapter wiring kit I need to install a similar radio? Is it a generic Peugeot adapter?
    Great video 👌

Hi, did you take the pillar trim completely off? If so how? I have removed three bolts but it's attached at the bttom somehow. Do I just pull? Thanks

Can you further explain how I wire the harness so the radio stays on without ignition on? I have a 2005 Fiat Ducato motorhome and the head unit is an old Alpine changer cd tuner controller. Someone told me to swap the red and yellow wires, (the red is the ignition and yellow is 12v constant (As you know)... I swapped those wires and Alpine is still not working without ignition on. There is voltage on the yellow wire, as I tested it, and also on the red ignition wire also. The unit only works at the moment while ignition is on, but obviously I can't have the ignition hot while I listen to the Archers. Please what is the fix for this?

Simply connect both the yellow and red wires to the one constant live.

@@PJsprojects I will try that and get back to you if I need further assistance. Many thanks, so helpful, as you always are.

@@PJsprojects Did as you suggested with the yellow and red wires, it worked but it also fed constant power back through the ignition wiring and therefore the dash lights came on, constantly on, even with key in off position. So, common sense told me to disconnect, cut, the red wire on the ISO connector block, so power could not feed back to ignition... hey presto.. I now have constant power to head unit when I press the on button without ignition on! I wish I was brighter at electronics, mechanics is my bag. People like you are a blessing to us plebs. This particular video helped me greatly as I have the same van. My signal to the radio tuner is terrible and works off a normal stubby ariel, my head unit is not DAB, is there a powered tuner amplifier that I could use to improve signal or do I get a better wing ariel?
