This one song has some of the most iconic riffs in the entire subgenre of metal. Jesus christ these guitar tracks are timeless.
Keep an eye out on my channel, I'll be doing a drum cover of this VERY SOON! ROCK ON!
I’m just going to leave my comment here so when someone likes it I can listen to this masterpiece again
Here ya go, enjoy hearing this masterpiece again then my brother.
I think it is time for you to listen to it again, my friend! Enjoy and cheers from germany 🤘
In times like this, Lamb of God knows how to pump us up in quarantine.
With an official relish of an older song of them? Like you couldn't listen to it before lmao....
i was 16, now i'm 32. Still banging to this.
@@iamvulgar8188 i know right. but still feeling young thou :D
Bro what the fuck happened to the years.
That said, never gonna stop banging to classic LoG stuff. Too many memories.
This album has the best double bass drum sound I’ve ever heard. It’s so precise and distinct but not clicky, it’s perfect since Chris does so much with his feet
I agree. I am a drummer and I still try to find albums that have this perfect sounding kick drum and I've never found it😂🤘🏼🏴☠️
Until you find out he uses a quiet typewriter click on his kick. Lol
Shoutout to that dude I sort-of knew on a forum back in 2007 who sent me this song over AOL Instant Messenger like "dude you gotta listen to this band". No idea where you ended up, but I've been blasting this ever since
The riff at 2:00 is godliness.
I misremembered that riff and had to check YT to make sure that's the actual one, bendy part and all. The mix I listened to back in the day was either incomplete or mono or something, because I distinctly remember a gap where they otherwise bend the note.
HOPEEEELESSSSSSSSS
I felt that in my teens and feel this in my 30s.
The chorus bring back today's World storylines. Everyone knows that..
I used to love this band when i was a teenager, now close to my 30's i realize theese guys are just amazing doing what they love, the drums are outstanding
yeh! Chris Adler did an amazing job on the drums. Sadly he parted ways with Lamb Of God and was replaced :/
Lamb of God was the best band ever when I was a teen. As a 30 year old, they’re somehow even better. They hit all the right notes and vocal tones, they have songs for every mood. Timeless and so elite that the only hatred I’ve even heard ever be about the band, is that somehow, someway, they are “exactly what you expect from a metal band.” I disagree. They’re what you SHOULD expect from a metal band. Even when you feel like punk, they’ve got you covered. In a word I would describe them as UNRIVALED. Favorite band back then, favorite band to this day.
2:00 is the best part of metal music ever created. Nothing tops that.
Yeah the 2 min mark is awsome...one of my favorite moments is around the 3 min mark of a song called Forever by As I Lay Dying....its slows down for like 10 or 15 seconds then hits in hard with the guitar....that part always gives me chills you should check it out
"The Faded Line"
Witness shame's parade, the pain of blame repaid
It's fucking hopeless
Accusations and denial
Hopeless... demon of another day
Colorless... stoned, solid gray
Emptiness... of promises I made
So faithless... the tenants long betrayed
Walk the faded line, cursed crawl of time
Silence, the only promise ever kept
Familiar touch, a ritual to numb the cut
Salvation in vice
Anguish is realizing what could have been, but never was
It's emptiness that fills the cup
Devotion in the method of my fall
Pointless... futility continuing
Endless... flowing corrupted vein
Walk the faded line, cursed crawl of time
Walk the faded line, cursed crawl of time
Silence, the only promise ever kept
It's fucking hopeless
Hopeless
Hopeless
It's fucking hopeless
Hopeless
thanks dude ,you helping me practice this song vocal which our band going to jam on!!!
Hard times need harder songs .... And this is perfect .... 😄👽🤘🏼
Whole album is like a huge drum clinic…but this song, omg!
A pure headbanging song \m/
This has been my favorite lamb of god song since ashes first came out.. love that fkn ending. Epic a.f. wish they could go back to this sound.
Ashes of the Wake was Lamb of God at their peak.
This album is fucking amazing but I would argue as technical musicians they all got better for resolution
I would argue they peaked with sacrament, ashes is great but something about the machine nature of that album has stuck with me as being them at their best
I still have my ashes of the wake and its tattered and torn and still the most comfortable shirt I own haha. Got it at 16 and i’ll be 31 in Nov
Turned fifty yesterday, and think I just found a band to enter my top five favorite bands
Love this song it's like 5 different songs in one🔥🔥
That las part at 3:30 pff fucking masterpiece, give me the chills everytime. 🤘
Silence, the only promise ever kept.
i remember listening to this in highschool , well over a decade now and this still slaps hard.
Maybe fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it it's nearly two decades now for me and many others 🤣 and here I still am not bored of any of these tracks
The very fist LOG song I ever heard, this song kicks like a war horse.
One of the many reasons I love these guys, is because it’s Thrash Metal mixed with Hardcore... and you can actually understand the screaming.
I'd say it's death with groove and metalcore influences. So it makes sense to hear some thrash or hc in it, but they're "filtered" through some decades of evolution... the poster above is probably an oldschool metalhead :)
One of the greatest metal albums ever laid down. And what a great Fucking song! 🤘👊🤘
The ending though, sounds like the end of the freaking world 😢😊
I set this song as my alarm clock ringtone, thats why i always wake up with a smile in my face everyfuckin morning... \m/
I've heard this song hundreds of times in the last few years.
Everytime it gets me and still hasn't gotten old .. LOG has got this shit DOWN to a science.
I Just forgot Lamb of God was such a kick-ass, this song was a reminder 🔥
My personal favorite 🔥
❤ from 🇳🇵
These guys are the reason I enjoy metal today
놀라운 앨범!! 처음에는 잘 와닿지 않지만 들을수록 빠지는 노래~~메탈인생 30년동안 이렇게 헤비하면서도 신선한 느낌의 음악은 처음이다.
Amazing album!! At first, it may not strike you, but the more you listen, the more you get into the songs. After 30 years of a metal life, it's the first time I've experienced such heavy yet refreshing music. TRANSLATION :)
LONG LIVE FOR LAMB OF GOD !! 🤘💀
The Ashes of the Wake album reigns supreme. I loved coming up on these guys until post Sacrement.
Happy to see they re-uploaded this song on my birth month.
That splash was never seen again...
It does sound cleaner, it also feels like an april fools joke since I thought a new song had already been released again.
Pulling up in the hood blasting Lamb of God...... Priceless.
Hollywood, best ever ,I walked the faded line.
oh god, i fly with you!!
I was lucky enough to hear this live in 2015 with Chris Adler on drums
0:43 is so damn good.
nice song guys, cured my depression. Very nice!
Shoutout to 804 Richmond, VA I'm from Hampton roads 757 lamb of god til the day I die.

Fuck Yeah 🤘🤘🤘
Lamb of God for life 🤘🤘🤘
I am also here from Bangladesh bruh with you 🤘🤘🤘
Die hard LOG fan 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Their absolute best album....change my mind 🤪
Fuad Ardi New American Gospel. This album is amazing, but as far as pure heavy, raw LoG, it’s NAG.
Old but gold
lol as despair sets in Lamb of God reminds us we all suck and are doomed.
this is a pure masterwork of musicianship
pure fire, love from nepal
Absolutely, one of my favorite L.O.G. Songs. Only " Black Label" tops this imho.🤘🤘🤘🤘
LOB fans from TL🇹🇱🤘💯
Ah yes. My favorite part of Bible study.
Love this song.
Holy shiiiit! Chris like a machine drum
This is the first song of theirs I ever heard. Been hooked ever since
This was my favorite song when i was younger. My dad would play this in the car all the time
Chris is the fucking man!!!!!👑🥁🎶
This ALBUM used to be Syllabus here for all the beginner guitarists ,,,,,something which motivated the beginners to push the limits
My favorite song period
damnn this hits hard🙌🫡
I'm pretty sure this is my favourite Lamb of God song, pound for pound.
Me! Fimilar touch, that was me. Cough! Just keep your vision, Rockstar! Vision, if God 💕
This is one of the hardest songs I've ever tried playing
Os caras como sempre destruindo tudo show de bola, som animal!
Still kicking
One of the best track ever 🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
The best song
That base drum it phenomenal! Guitars fucking rock! Lyrics are so true! Totally love the vocals!
Song of deepest heavy despair. Tune that releases cryptic relieve
Un gusto escuchar siempre lamb of god ! 🇨🇴🇨🇴
This along with Sacrament still arr their best albums. Period.
The drums get me everytime. Nothing quite like that sound.
I found out about this band when I first found this song in a yuyu hakusho AMV in 2006
I just found this band few months ago and they're just the sickest wayyy better than slipknot
@@792164012dangerous aye lol slipknot pretty sick too, but lamb of god was on their own level 2000-2004 goat
@@792164012dangerous I'm glad you got out of listening nu-metal, go listen to some other death metal bands like messhugah and gojira too
@@phillipanselmo8540 personally I don’t but if people like nu that’s ok. I’ve always been in the heavier is better boat but nu Metal is definitely a good way to get people into metal.
Those drums man, blow my mind.
One of the best song of all time. Their best song of all time.
This album is pretty much a drumming clinic. Chris Adler is a beast
My fav band🤘🏼🔥
I’m so grateful to have been a teenager when this came out. I’m so glad I feel intense nostalgia hearing this and cradle of filth “bitter suites to succubi”
4:25 Hoooope-LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this song!!!
Keep an eye out on my channel, I'll be doing a drum cover of this VERY SOON! ROCK ON!
WWWIIIITTTNESSSSSSS
16 years later and this still fucking slams.
Oh YEAH!! 🤘😎🥁🔥
Oldie Goldie..but great upload
Hail True Metal!
Mmmmm needed this back in my life. Thank you 🙌🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
That verse/chorus riff is still the fasted Gallup sequence ever. Machine gun riffs.
This whole album is absolutely amazing. One of the best metal albums ever to be produced
Yeh it's a classic
Agreed!
100% !
The production really makes every instrument pop, a sign of good technical backing.
You got that right! Tackling dark issues of a world after 911 corruption, war, death, lies & hidden truths Randy is always top tier with how he writes but Ashes perfectly showcases his lyricism & imo one of the peaks of his vocal abilities…which is still great! Chris a fu**** machine on the drums as usual, Mark & Willie giving us some of the sickest guitar riffs & Campbell also an amazing bassist! Every track is as perfect as a metal track can get imo plus breakdowns that are so insanely brutal I often wonder how a band could create something as perfect as AOTW…so perfect imho that it is my number 1 favorite metal album of all time!
