This album cost me a fortune. I bought it by accident thinking it was hard Rock.
Turned out I got addicted to Jazz and have not stopped collecting. Have well over 1000 LP's and over 1000CD's all because of one Album bought in error
    THANK YOU GINO VANNELLI

No Moog and no Hammond either. That is a Farfisa "Professional Duo" organ and the bass and synth brass are produced by Univox Minikorg/bass and Maxikorg/brass & trumpet synths. Strings were produced by a Farfisa Synthorch keyboard. I saw and heard them play this live, a few times, and it was just as amazing as is the recording, now 50 years old!

In 1974, when Powerful People was released, Gino was playing with Graham Lear, who went on to be Santana's drummer, and Richard Baker on Hammond organ along with Joe Vanelli on keyboards. In my opinion, this was the tightest group of musicians Gino has ever assembled for live performances.

Absolutely. Graham Lear was one of the fastest, tightest drummers I ever saw. He just smoked those twin bass drums. And Richard Baker on the B-3? Oh man!!! Incredible. I saw this lineup 4 times before it started changing...

@@miknelak you're absolutely correct, and I apologize. The first time I saw Casey (who was good), I remember saying "Graham did that with one bass drum"..over time my memory got it backwards.
