I'm so happy you actually let people know the differences between Shepherd's Pie and Cottage Pie. One of my pet peeves when going down the frozen aisle is seeing beef filled pies labeled as "Shepherd's Pie". Thank you for that and this recipe!

Thank you for the recipe have you tried using the purple turnip as a potato substitute? I made one not too long ago time to make another one. Chayote's are great for low carb Keto.
I like them in soups and such. But they don't become as nice and creamy when mashed, like cauliflower does. So I prefer the cauliflower for this recipe.

Aha!!! Shepherd, as in sheep, as in lamb. Makes perfect sense. But where does the "cottage" come from? Just joking.
I use cream cheese instead of sour cream in my mash. It's just as creamy but doesn't end up too soft

Yummy! As you drained off the fat from the mince, I’d mix butter in with the cauliflower just to add back a bit of fat. Thank you love your recipes ❤️

Pretty much how I do it, however I mix up turnips/rutabagas with the cauliflower for more of the potato texture/feel.
