Sid Sriram is a Carnatic musician, an Indian music producer, playback singer, and songwriter. He is an R&B songwriter and has been working in the Tamil and Telugu music industry and also in Kannada and Malayalam film productions. His mother is Latha Sriram, a highly regarded Carnatic music teacher in San Francisco. After his 12th grade, he joined the Berklee College of Music and graduated in Music Production and Engineering. He regularly collaborates with his sister Pallavi Sriram, a Bharatanatyam dancer, and music directors. He got fame with the song "Adiye" sung for the soundtrack of Kadal (2013) composed by A. R. Rahman.

He is explaining about the initial stage how he sent mail to ARR and waited to meet him after his Oscar awards. He never thought of any band comes to US from south India and he never thought of his career started in Chennai. And also explains about how he got chance to sing first Adiye Adiye song.... He explains about sticking with rules in legend Raja sir's music compose and trying new stuffs in ARR sir music compose....

No one can be a king of any field...All fields are boundary less..It keep evolves over period..Evolution is driven by thought contribution of many..someone contributes to this evolution. So its a effort of many not just effort of individual. In that way all Tamil music giants like msv, illayaraja and ARR are contributors of this evolution. Music is like ocean with many versions.all these giants are just shining dots because of some uniqueness they show in some of version in music world. There are thousands of dots in the music world... They good in their own way. King of music is meaningless..

Interviewer is knowledgeable no doubt. But also rude! So many times he interrupts Sid Sriram!! Not appreciated, though he is much older. Kids' who grow up in the USA, try to be polite and not butt in so much, when Sid was trying to narrate an old incident the Interviewer just interjects several times and carries on with his agenda🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

My suggestion is that whenever such kind of interviews are arranged for making it as a Video presentation, either some 5 to 6 brief questions can be already written and handed over to the person interviewed and nobody should interfere. Let him go ahead on his own (Or) The programme should be devised for 45 minutes - One hour. Let the person interviewing may be allowed to intervene at frequent intervals, to some reasonable extent. Then only the real purpose will be served. I think here Time poses major constraint and people are helpless to stick to that and also to extract more information. V.GIRIPRASAD (69 Yrs)

The Interviewer should learn to wait until the Host finish answering the question, so unprofessional!!! Change your way ask questions. Although Sid Sriram is young fellow but he is genius, for god sake give a respect! He is singing, your clipping before he finishes singing. So disappointed
100% agreed this guy doesn’t have manners coz he kept interrupting Sid and asked some personal questions like Sid’s salary etc! 😂😂

People from other countries usually don't interrupt until the opposite person completes speaking. Especially the interviewer should know this basic etiquette. But it's so great of Sid for being polite and professional. Wonderful and respectful person despite being brought up in US.
A composer compses it, why a singer need to improvise!!!. Even lengends like KJY or SPB never improvised in recording, they only do it in concerts

Anchor sir, who told carnatic fans don't fully accept film singers. That conceptions are olden days. Nowadays people like sid sri are liked in carnatic stages also for enjoyment for different type of voice. Please update yourselves.
Anchor Sri chandra sekar is quite versatile in Carnatic music and fairly well knowledgable also. Very well and intimately known by famous karnatic musicians of the day and that would have become possible only becos of Sri Chandra sekar's aligning with karnatic music . Thank you

Ivaru tamil lo da paadanum. Telugu suttamaa varaadu. Telugu songs spelling mistakes to paadi tavaru tunes kudutaaru. If he has any respect for telugu he should stop singing in telugu immediately. I have great respect for all languages and every language has its diction dialects etc. Sp balu, suseelamma and janaki never spoiled tamil language while singing.
