"Because thats when anime peaked." Damn dude lol
He's not wrong
@@clouphon3019 oh im not disagreeing lol
@@Haregue any classic is a 90s anime and today they just repeat everything but put it into a new setting. to be fair there are good animes out there its just the amount of trash
I love your videos! Keep the good work!!

Me: what "i - pple"..."i - pal"??..
Random Chinese Manufacturer: Write that down!!.. Write that down!!..
Wow I didn’t expect the pencil pro to reach this quick, not going to lie it seems awesome. I mean whatever generation it is. The way they connect all these devices like simple plug & play or magic. This is so cool though. I hope you enjoy your experience my friend.
Yeah I was really surprised when it arrived because my delivery date still said may 23rd! The pairing process is so much better than gen 1. Plugging into that lightning connector was always kinda silly (although it worked fine)
@@NihongoGamer I mean like yesterday I was watching your video about the M4 iPad Pro and I was like bleh now we got to wait for the pencil to arrive, phone notification Apple Pencil pro by Nihongo gamer. Wait….that was fast, Let’s do this. I enjoyed that drawing too. You’re going to make me want to get one 🤣
I think barrel roll will work well for landscape painting and those changes in shape throughout the environment seems cool.
I WISH Apple let you flip the pencil around to erase/tool switch. I had to turn off the double-tap feature because I triggered it by accident so often.
maybe just get pencil grip
You can lower the sensitivity of the grip in the settings to avoid accidentally triggering it
great video!
this is an artist’s ipad, and I’m so glad to see how an artist can actually use it
Huh, that was quick 🔥
Why do you make drawing look so easy, damn.
Barrel roll/rotation is nowhere near a normal feature in tablets tho, unless you're thinking of tilt. It's only currently avaible with the wacom art pen (stylus sold separately and usually out of stock). Hopefully more price friendly brands will copy apple on this.
Good point!
They discontinued the art pen but I'm thinking they might make a new one with barrel rotation now that apple has done it
Great information thank you
5:44 how did you get all of those tools? My selection is very limited. I do not have the 4th, 5th and the 6th ones, the 6th one being the one you were using that time in the video to get that italics writing.
If you didn’t know, you can choose what the double tap and the squeeze gesture does in settings:)
In the event that the pencil is lost or lost does it support the search or found for it feature or not?
could you do a wobble test where you turn off smoothing, and draw a straight diagonal line, slowly to see how much it wobbles
Bummed that the full set of Pencil Pro features aren't available in Procreate on launch. I thought for sure it'd be a day 1 patch.
Yeah I thought so too! Looks like the iPad Pro update way day 1 but the Apple Pencil update is apparently coming later
I'm a new procreate user and I'm looking forward to it
wwdc
procreate be slacking lately tbh
I'm interested how your screen will hold over time with burn in. Can't wait for future details down the line.
I’ll keep everyone updated if I notice any burn in
It’s a modern high end oled panel, burn in isn’t an issue unless there’s a defect
@@unoriginalyoutubename8761 Still happens sadly. Modern or not, its the nature of the tech.
With the twin display layers each layer isn’t at its peak brightness so burn-in is much less likely. It’s not a real problem these days anyway with good OLED screens. Maybe with cheaper ones. With iPhones having OLEDs for several years there’s been no problem with burn-in.
Oh man I'm thinking on upgrading my iPad air 10.9inch because I do 3D models and sometimes the RAM is not enough and the app crashes :D I think the M4 is a beast so I wouldn't have that problem but also an older iPad pro would do the trick I guess
I don’t know what specs are best for 3d. Is m2 sufficient? If so, maybe a used iPad Pro m2 with 16gb ram would be a good buy if you can find one
Bro, you are the same guy that used to unbox Nintendos 3ds? (Like 8-9 years ago) omg I remember you because your id name is the same and it's cute lol Also your voice is very particular (in a good way)
Haha thanks! Yep, same guy, me.
Thoughts on 11" vs 13" for painting?
I've been getting by to date on a Surface Pro 4 using Clip Studio, usually in landscape mode with my reference taking half the screen. It's time to upgrade though!
Also can the Air be considered as good as Pro for art?
The new 13” iPad Air would be my way to go, it can use the new Apple Pencil pro and all the features that go with it, only downside would be the screen quality and power compared to the M4. Which size just depends on your preferred usage. An 11” would be a little more portable but the 13” is noticeably larger (I have a 12.9” M1 IPad Pro and they’re all fairly similar but this new model is quite impressive.)
@@_xheist my understanding is that the M2 is already overkill for power, and that the Air screen, while inferior to OLED, is still very good
My wacom intuos tablet unfortunately doesnt do the barrel roll, when I head about this new apple pencil I SCREAMED lol it sounds amazing bc I always loose a good 1 min trying to set the angle the way I want
manually, hittinh settings and trying out
Barrel roll has some serious potential
Could you tell how many max resolution layers the new ipad pro supports?
I’ll double check but when I made an A4 canvas at 300dpi it quoted me 112 layers I think
if you put a protective cover for the pencil, the haptic function will work?
Depends on the thickness and hardness of the case I guess. I imagine it’d be fine with most covers but I haven’t got one to test
Is this a 11” or 13” ipad pro?
I randomly squeeze my pencil so this kind of sounds like a nightmare. I feel like tap funtions on the top of the pen would make more sense like a clicky pen and also flip to erase.
You can disable the squeeze function or double tap function and also adjust the sensitivity
Hi I have the iPad Pro 12.9 32gig had it some time now, I mainly use it for watching videos and media. Would I find this a much better device or not. Looking at the 10inch
5:18 it's not normal. I wish it were. Wacom discontinued their only barrel rotation-enabled pen last year I think, and it was a pen they released all the way back in 2010 or something.
Yeah, I think I’ll wait 1-3 months before purchasing the iPad Pro and Pencil.
Are you planning on buying the magic keyboard for iPad?
Yeah I think it’ll be a few weeks before the main art apps are fully updated and FCP2 is out
Not planning on getting the magic keyboard unless I find myself needing to write scripts on the go and frequently. I think my use cases will be mostly at home using a Bluetooth keyboard
Does the squeeze function work if you have gloves on?
Yes!
When are you streaming? It's been a long time.
Been so busy with work 😭 hopefully I can stream when Akuma dlc releases
Does the Pencil Pro have any diagonal line wobble without motion smoothing (like on note taking apps)? Could you try it with screen protector too?
I’ve never had line wobble issues on Apple Pencil. Haven’t noticed any on Pencil Pro either.
@@NihongoGamer hmmm... unfortunately on the prev. gen pro, I get wobble on diagonal lines with Flow, Goodnotes, and the Apple notes apps (less noticeable without screen protector, obvious with, tested with straight edge).
If the M4 pro doesn't have this issue at all, might consider just upgrading.
Are you using a screen protector? Apparently, some thicknesses can cause wobble. @@NicoSwagzawa
@@KevSantos00 yeah, but I've also tried it without a screen protector when I swapped from matte to clear. I had noticeable wobble on matte, less (but still visible) wobble) on no protector, and BAD wobble on clear glass.
All with a straight edge.
Good morning! 👋🏽 😊
mornin
Ipad Pro is ridiculously hyped... Hardware is fantastic... But experience is not far off from 2018...I get a newer gen and each time I send it back because of this. Also, people say how it 'replace' their laptop. I doubt it because in my use case it couldn't even match other tablets like Samsung (tab ultra in my case)... Everytime I'm using ipad Pro I feel so 'limited' with gestures, features, multitasking (up to 4 or 5 windows), hover, slideshow and other air actions using Spen. To top it all, the insane price makes me look like an idiot to spend so much for a competitively lagging experience and usability. All for a bite of APPL?
This is 13 inches with nano texture display or 11 inches
13 inch regular display
Is this ipad pro 11" or 13"?
13
Personally I find it kind of wasteful to have two sku's of the pencil. I understand the pressure sensitivity makes it more expensive but if they reduced the price a bit and made it more available it would be more consumer friendly. I worked at a Best Buy and man it was rough explaining different SKU's and seeing people's general confusion.
Yeah it’s a really different business model to old days of 2000s Apple. These days there are so many models
@@NihongoGamer Yeah it's crazy how segmented the product lines have become.
They have to keep several pencils going for compatibility reasons with various older models eg charging issues.
The cause of that is because they moved the front camera to the landscape side so they had to change how the magnets charge and connect to the new pencil. I think there actually using 2 magnets so it stays put. The pencil is thicker than the iPad now.
It’s the same price as the gen 2 pencil which came out before the usb-c. It’s a cheaper option for people who just use it as a pointer, and don’t like the weird Logitech shape. Also the skews are great! I have the mini as my go anywhere sketchbook, and the iPad Pro for bigger projects. If I wasn’t a drawing animating type I would totally go for the iPad10. If I was on a budget who needed something kinda powerful not too expensive to have everywhere on me, I would give up on the mini and go all Air. I actually kinda wish it was more customisable. I could do with the power and just 256gb for the extra core and ram. But I hoard a bunch of projects anyway, so 1tb hasn’t gone to waste.
i pal! 😂
what is the app????
Freeform, clip studio paint, procreate
I tried the new pencil in the Apple Store. It's actually so much better than I thought! The squeeze feature with the motor is well implemented and the UI is great too!
Did anyone else notice that at 1 min when hes holding the box and you can see the artwork that the ribbon kinda spells out "cero". In Spanish CERO is ZERO. or is it just me???🤔🤔🤔
I thought the same lol
It actually says pro
The iPad wallpaper he has the also says pro going down from the top
You can't use the old pencil on the new I pad pro M4
You can use the usb-c pencil but yeah, shame that it doesn’t work with the gen 2 pencil
anime peak when you draw
Hoohahaha Hoohahaha 🐒 in between 😂😂😂
He didnt mentioned that if the apple pencil pro can do hold long press or double press not double tap just like the apple airpods.
Didn’t think to try that! Maybe in a future vid
I wish apple figure out how to replicate the feel of on paper drawing and not hard plastic on glass... It's the only thing I'm waiting. After years and years I still not get the hard plastic on glass feeling.
Mimicking a paper texture is not difficult but it does compromise the experience for people who prefer a perfectly clear video consumption experience. For drawing you can opt for the nano textured glass model but for a fully paper textured feel you are still probably better off with a screen protector. Also many users probably won’t like the way a textured surface rubs away the tips of the Apple Pencil which would need replacement more often.
Please help me
Too bad its thicker then the iPad itself and won’t stay in place.. constantly rolling over to in front of camera. Ugh.
Don’t tempt me. Been using my same devices from 2017.
If you don’t need the fancy new features like barrel roll then honestly the general drawing feel of Apple Pencil hasn’t changed since Gen 1 (which is a good thing cos it still feel great!)
It's funny watching apple add features that have been around for over 15 years now...
The reason its not compatible with old just same way as ipad keyboard is exclusive for 11 and 13inch ipad. Profits 😂
Apple claims they changed the magnet array that attaches the pencil to the iPad because they added the landscape selfie cam.
@@justmijosh ofcourse they made an excuse too.
Designed in California but made in CHINA 😂😂😂😂
im wondering if the 8gb ram is sufficient for a 300dpi a4 canvas on this m4.
In procreate an A4 canvas at 300dpi allows me to use 116 layers on this 256gb iPad Pro m4 (8gb ram)
@@NihongoGamer whats your experience with CSP? im not that familiar with procreate sadly. as im wondering if i shoudl upgrade from my 2020 ipad pro
did you manage to get Find My working? I couldn’t get it to show up for me
Seems to work for me. Boot up Find My app from the Home Screen and click the plus sign to add the Pencil pro as a device
@@NihongoGamer worked, thank you !
