- Hux racing came through yet again! On their websites under the FAQ section they listed a part number for the perfect aftermarket axle for the passenger side of the bug. We swapped that out, added a AEM Wideband O2 sensor, AEM Boost gauge, new waste gate spring, and then when wee were ready to give it a little street tune, it snowed, a lot...

Nice! I love snow, i love driving on snow and i love seeing other people drinving on snow.
There is one thing that kinda bugs me (sorry for the pun). Those two metal fender leftover pieces in the front wobble like crazy. Please make it priority to stabilise them with some custom brackets (or whatever).
Btw. the parts about the Bug that i like the most right now are the shotgun exhaust and the structure that hides the firewall inside the engine bay.

this bug is honestly the inspiration for what im planning. i already have a 71 super beetle with a 2 inch body drop.. been wanting to build a full frame for it and put a permanent floor in to. think body on frame like a truck. but now i want to do a dodge 3.0 v6 (6g72) in the back,

FYI, you should have your wideband off right up until you have just started the engine, ie over 500 or 600 RPM or something, then it MUST be on. If it's on BEFORE the engine starts, then it gets very hot using the heater and controller and small droplets of condensed water from further up the exhaust in the manifold in the turbo etc can land on the ceramic element via the louvres and cause the ceramic to crack. Might not be easy without a spare output on an OEM ECU, though.
We tuned the engine in my truck at 3am on heavily cambered country roads and old used snow tyres in the rain. It was a case of floor it and lift when it went outside the area you'd already adjusted, then adjust some more and repeat. Every one involved a huge slide and the back of the truck falling off the crown onto one side or the other and opposite lock to avoid ending up in a tree :-D Boost came on gentle at 3k, moderate at 4k, and hard at 5k all the way to 7500 where we had the limiter set :-D Afterwards we did a skid at about 100mph with wheel speed about 120mph :-D mildly terrifying.

I wanted to see you put on the exhaust surround to see what it looked like. Even if that wasn't for the Bug. Can't wait to see the bugs body panels, fenders and or slotted hood for air to the radiator. So what are you going to go with for bumpers? Round tubing or junkyard extended bumpers to practice on your welding skills? Since widened who will you get to do the windshield and back glass?

We found a really good way to fix a vw beetle so all the handling problems disappear. All you need is a crusher.
