- Dawless lo-fi grooves and experiments played in realtime with the Casio MT-36.
Played and composed by Kyle Ussery in Colorado.
This keyboard has been in my family for as long as I can remember, and it's a joy to create music with it. These are all effects pedals I had for other uses. Recently I decided to rig them up with the Casio and it was magical. I hope you enjoy!

this is rad! what a cool setup. i could play with this thing for a week straight.
It's really fun experimenting with this setup, glad you dig it 🎹❤️
I've got to play music for a friend who read poetry in front of an audience. I'am going in a very experimental way but watching some parts of your video gave me ideas to add some more melodic stuff sometime. I think it can work with the text and give moment to relax for the audience which is not only people into more experimental stuf. I'll try working on it, last thing I already use my Tera Echo and a Boss DD7 for this project. I think the first one might be a one trick pony, but a delay or a chorus is, when you want to add some unique texture it's one of the effect I think is truly original and new. Not speaking of overpowered granular + ocataver + delay... wich are more some kind of very cool but steal the show pedal and a little bit of OK no matter what I'm gonna play two minor chord and the pedal will make it sound fantastic. Why not the result is what matter but if we all sound fantastic the same way... it's not fantastic anymore IMO. Thanks for the ideas, keep it simple and have fun.
Thanks for the insights!
Poetry + 1 or more (here 7) pedals and a keyboard/synth, that's deffo new for me!
@@RaverOperatorGeeza Cool, it's in french but if you could hear what my friend is writing I think it's very inspiring. Same as experimental music but with words, you can't tell what it was about but the images you saw if youc close your eyes and let yourself go can be beautiful.
@@Aeon_Replicant I get you :)
Well, maybe we'll get some more, out you have some uploaded? Should I be checking out more of your uploads here?
Si tu t'inspire de ce son,ba ça sera bien d'la merde...🤣🤡🙋

The frog sound on the Casio mt 60 made it on to Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Digi dub at its finest - simple yet hard!

As much as I miss the 2010 rage of boutique pedals...goes to show, them oldys are goodys
Brilliant and totally engaging! Not a Moog or Buchla in the house! Genius!
❤️🎹
Earlier today, I was running a Casio MT-65 through a Zoom G1-Four multi-effects pedal. It is a relatively cheap pedal with a quality looper and a list of good effects.
I was surprised how nice an 80s Casio was sounding, and was quite happy with what I was able to put together despite having no experience with a looper.
If anyone is looking for a similar setup to the video (while containing the cost of all the pedals), I recommend Zoom G1-Four multi-effects pedal.
B1 and A1 models are virtually the same I think.
Nice, that sounds sweet!
Fantastic jam and great use of gear!
🎹❤
Nice jam, mate! I really enjoyed listening it!
Glad you enjoyed!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
🎹❤️
been doing this with the pro vs mini and my sp404 mk2. obviously two completely different setups but the workflow is so remarkably similar it makes me question my purchasing power. bravo !

Do more of these mate, it's literally just inspired me to do something similar. Nice that it's all there to see, no particular mystery or hidden technique/gear - just what's there, working well. Keep doing them, thanks for posting.

Using dotted-8th delay for the drum part was truly brilliant! It makes a pretty lame-sounding drum machine into a groovy, mesmerizing experience 😎
Gotta love delay 🙂
Very cool
Very relaxing music
Thanks! 🎹❤
No matter how many ways you try to create something in music, everything goes to the same thing. You need to look for a group, or a team that will need you. Even if not for all the compositions, joint success will never replace you alone! Good luck!
sensacional!
Keep makeing these please!

Bravo! Did the same thing with a reel to reel years ago. Didn't have loopers and the ones that they had available at the time where boku expensive. Still a ton of fun. Record what you make and master with pc.
