- This video is a mix, or mashup, consisting of several variations on the battle music "The Long Road" from the Fire Emblem series. It consists of soundtracks from the Nintendo Switch titles Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
The song “The Long Road” embodies the enervating nature of war. Its slow tempo demonstrates the sheer exhaustion of the path of battle; the previous energy and swift pace found just years prior undoubtedly has been drained, resulting in an adverse and sluggish bloodbath. Furthermore, the simplicity of both the melody and bass line exhibits the mindlessness of combat. Those in warfare lack pensive attitudes, thus there is only a single-and simple-objective: to fight and win. Yet, the enemies found in battle are not merely opponents of evil intent. Rather, the opposing side consists of students once living peacefully at Garreg Mach Monastery. “The Long Road” sheds light on this regrettable element of war by incorporating the same melody from “Life at Garreg Mach Monastery,” although its long-drawn-out speed and minor key create a song of lament instead of harmony. Though it may be pleasing to find a diverse number of students alive after five whole years, the song depicts the unfavorability of war as the once innocent students have turned against one another. Now, the young students that once had a peaceful “Life at Garreg Mach Monastery” have become obstacles on the other side of the battlefield. By nature, students will no doubt struggle for their life, further contributing to the extent of fatigue of the war as they inherently prolong the completion of a battle. Nonetheless, in order to return to the times of tranquility, the war must be ended swiftly, beginning with victory over the enemy-a grueling path triumphing over former students. Blood continues to spill as the road likewise continues to be taken. It is certainly a long road yet.

"I'll comply"
hearing this masterpiece, with the rain and the sounds of swords clashing and the screams is a whole new experience. Its even more painful if you didnt managed to recruit that one character before the time skip and now you have to kill that unit. its kill or be killed.

This is so awesome! It’s definitely become my favorite Fire Emblem map theme across the whole series. I’m really looking forward to when you might do more, like Tearing Through Heavens or Tempest of Seasons

Thank you for this video. 🙏🏼 This song is so full of sorrow in Three Houses and Epicness in Three Hopes. 😌
This mix is so good! Also, really nice analysis of it in the description!
That merciless night he fell
Seemed the end of this long road
For he was indeed her beloved
The one soul she understood -
The one person she loved
The day the King died
Was the day our Queen was born.
