I never did any test, but in reading it with my kids, literally hundreds of times, we looked & laughed at every frog, on every page; the expressions on their faces, what they were doing & how they were feeling. We did the same with most picture books, never rushing, always looking for the tiniest detail. The less words, the better. I'm definitely gonna do some research as to why this book was chosen to test.
it's cold Tuesday night the frogs fly over the the beautiful blue lake, the reflection of the frogs catches the attention of the black crows they flew to the frogs in an attempt to try to catch the frogs but were unsuccessful, so they starved and were very embarrassed to let potential prey to get away like that soon after that they spotted a big blue pretty house they would like to hide in meanwhile the guy saw the smiling frogs waving at him in the window hoping that he would let them in, but he saw a needle on table and thought "I don't wanna be licked by this creep, he's a junkie I bet or a diabetic but im not taking any chances" all of a sudden he crashed into the blanket but it wrapped around his neck luckily he did not die but he and his friends let themselves into Mrs. Tight Cheeks house since they knew her so well bc they all had tea party just last week. they all watched a scary movie and had a good time but one little Froggie didnt have a good time he hid behind the couch and peek a boo like a little puss and his friends made fun of him until he cried so the leader frog switch the channel so he would stop crying.
This was so painful oh my goodness "What was the detective thinking?". It pained me to write the most basic answer which the teacher probably wanted so I wrote opposite to it. I still don't understand what the point of this assignment was 4 years later... WHY.
"What was the detective thinking?". All the teachers probably wanted the answer: "confused", or something along the lines of that. WHY DO YOU SEEK SUCH AN ANSWER? Maybe you don't understand how painful it might be to put a ridiculously obvious answer for an open-ended question, and THERE IS NO RIGHT ANSWER, IT IS AN IMAGE. IT IS UP TO INTERPRETATION. So, I wrote the exact opposite saying that the detective knew exactly what happened with the floating lily pads.... I. Failed. That. Assignment. Just because my thoughts didn't CONFORM to that sought by the teacher. I still don't understand what the point of this assignment was 4 years later... WHY. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS? WHAT DID YOU GET? Was instilling deep pain and strife as a byproduct worth your assignment? Bad questions are bad, and shouldn't be in schools. This is why math is the best subject. In math, there are no bad questions.
Just to let u guys know that the picture when the officers were investigating the clouds behind them is shaped like a frog.My teacher said she had this book for a longtime and after 3 years her student told her about the clouds lol 😄
I don’t know why I’m putting myself through this suffering. I had to watch this in year 5 and it scared the sh*t out of me. Now I’m in year 12 and I randomly remembered it and it still scares the sh*t out of me

I pointed out the frogs facial expressions, but probably overanalyzed every single page during the test, looking for hidden details and such.

I understand you are upset but that book is usually read in autism assessment tests so maybe they were seeing if you were autistic?
