I used to know what kicking the ball was and a foul was until I watched the WNBA. I'm not sure what I'm watching -- pulling, hitting, grabbing, body slamming -- called, not called. Sometimes they will call touch calls. I'm confused, or maybe it's the Refs that are confused.

She just need to watch her language and not let the ref overhear how she’s talking talking so she won’t get any more technical’s. Defensive rebounding needs to improve. The other teams shouldn't be getting that many offensive rebounds. The fever miss so many layups and shots right at the rim.

You have to remember their first four games were with the two best teams in the league, and the Sun aren't a slouch. Each game they (and she) are getting better. It seems to me that one thing CC needs to work on is her defense. She gets beaten too often and she loses her player. In College the overall players aren't as good, so she could drop off her player to help or go for a rebound, but these gals just sit there and make threes. Jon, if Clark does not learn how to play these ball screens she is gonna end up with a concussion. Not a bad ankle. At present, she doesn’t see or feel them coming which is dangerous to her health. She has to learn quickly how to slip over/under screens. She is too small to handle that kinda contact consistently
It's called communication on defense.. you have to let your teammate know that screen is coming. You must have communication on D. This keeps happening and her teammates absolutely suck at this.
There’s no help over the top! The other defensive player has to step out and impede. The coaches can’t make this adjustment from the tapes? Coach needs to work the refs, hardly objects at all!

There's a lot to unpack here....CC is not just a scorer, she sees the floor and her teammates don't. she leads them with passes and they can't finish. She can run the offense without the coach saying a damn word. When it's time to have shootout to close out the game, get it to the scorer, CC. Nothing to discuss there. The brutal fouls on CC aren't called and we can all see it. but she is picking up ticky tack fouls, gimme a break. The asst coach would have had the ball in CCs hand the last 2 minutes of the game in that scenario. Hell, we were all making that decision from the couch in every living room in America. But this coach is concerned about defense. We might want to employ that strategy for next year. For now let's just try shooting the lights out and let the other team try to catch up. Now if we could find a scorer who can rip off 3s ... Hmmmm... I think that's why we are all watching anyways. Just Saying ... all the rest of this shit is just excuse making...In a couple more games like this CC is just gonna go off on a scoring tear. We all know it's coming... Haters, You've been warned!!
This coach will be gone after this season, if she lasts that long. Not directly because of Clark, but because of the Clark Effect. She is terrible in front of the press, and doesn't know how to coach a once in a lifetime player. The CE has put her in the spotlight and she clearly cannot handle it.
Only way is up gotta stay positive. Other teams are playing their best because of this generation of athletes, not just Clark, but she is a significant proponent.
This loss is on the team. When your opponents are getting 2nd or 3rd chances at the basketball will not win many games. Missing layup is not helping either. Boston look slow. CC needs to be more physical and better defend. Mitchell can’t shoot.

Boston has bad hands...can't take one step and make a two footer.....is slow and needs to lose 15 pounds while coming off the bench. She cost the Fever big.
That refs reviewed the critical call because the fever coach called for the review with the game tied and only 20 seconds or so left. All game the Sun team (a notorious hard hitting shoulder attacking team) was using moving screens a lot. The ref looked at it for a long time and then got huffy and said the original call was correct. In the film the entire crowd saw the feet move and the should area of the screener moved onto the Fever player. After looking at the film the ref stood back being aggravated by the crowd and decided a close game on that incorrect call.
Yo I swear that’s all you guys care about is her scoring. Meanwhile she’s averaging 7TO a game. The truth is she is going to be a good player, but not this elite player you guys want her to be.
I believe the charged timeout for the lost challenge cost them the game. Otherwise they could have had the ball in the forecourt to tie or win the game.
I only watched maybe a third of the game, but what stuck out to me was how few screens are being set for CC. Maybe every 5th touch she gets a screen. She has to create space to shoot and drive on her own. Sure, she gets doubled a lot, so set multiple screens. Even if she doesn't get a good look, she's an incredible passer, so her assists go up with pick-n-rolls. No reason CC doesn't get 25 PPG and 10 APG. Heard a rumor or a joking comment that Sides could be replaced by Lisa Bluder! Fantastic idea! There's a coach who knows how to build an offense that maximizes the strengths of all 5 on the floor when one of them is a super star!
My thoughts are that Caitlin Clark needs other supporting players who are consistent enough in their play that they can make teams pay for double teaming Clark. Right now, other teams don't fear the other players. CC passes into the corner and the player shoots an air ball. At other time, Caitlin fires a pass to one of her other players and they fumble the ball or they miss the easy layup. These things have to be cleaned up before Indiana is going to be able to use Caitlin as a real weapon against other teams. Caitlin also has to take better care of the ball when she's handling it.
The coach is doing fair at best. Caitlin is getting use to playing a more physical game. They have a ways to go.They might get 10 or 12 wins for the entire season.
In all 4 games lost, the opponent built a large lead. Is not common logic for a coach to call timeout to break the momentum of the opposing team in order for them not to build up a huge lead? How come Fever coach calls timeout when her team is already in a deep hole?
0 n 4 isn't looking good for the coach. At some point, the GM gonna start looking at her. And as far as the Golden girl goes, she goona have to score a lot more than just 17 or 22 points if the fever want to get at least one win. I mean this is pretty embarrassing for a team that went all out to Acquire the 1st round pick for fhe Golden girl.
Well, she’s not really shooting that much. Last 3 games, she has not had the most FGAs. But, funny, some haters would have you believe she is a ball hog! If I was the coach, I would want her to shoot at least 20 shots per game. Know she got hurt so didn’t play as much, but she only shot something like 11 times.

Jon, if Clark does not learn how to play these ball screens she is gonna end up with a concussion. Not a bad ankle. At present, she doesn’t see or feel them coming which is dangerous to her health. She has to learn quickly how to slip over/under screens. She is too small to handle that kinda contact consistently
It's called communication on defense.. you have to let your teammate know that screen is coming. You must have communication on D. This keeps happening and her teammates absolutely suck at this.
There’s no help over the top! The other defensive player has to step out and impede. The coaches can’t make this adjustment from the tapes? Coach needs to work the refs, hardly objects at all!

There's a lot to unpack here....CC is not just a scorer, she sees the floor and her teammates don't. she leads them with passes and they can't finish. She can run the offense without the coach saying a damn word. When it's time to have shootout to close out the game, get it to the scorer, CC. Nothing to discuss there. The brutal fouls on CC aren't called and we can all see it. but she is picking up ticky tack fouls, gimme a break. The asst coach would have had the ball in CCs hand the last 2 minutes of the game in that scenario. Hell, we were all making that decision from the couch in every living room in America. But this coach is concerned about defense. We might want to employ that strategy for next year. For now let's just try shooting the lights out and let the other team try to catch up. Now if we could find a scorer who can rip off 3s ... Hmmmm... I think that's why we are all watching anyways. Just Saying ... all the rest of this shit is just excuse making...In a couple more games like this CC is just gonna go off on a scoring tear. We all know it's coming... Haters, You've been warned!!
That missed kicked ball early in the game set the tone. Officiating favored the other team.
This coach will be gone after this season, if she lasts that long. Not directly because of Clark, but because of the Clark Effect. She is terrible in front of the press, and doesn't know how to coach a once in a lifetime player. The CE has put her in the spotlight and she clearly cannot handle it.
Only way is up gotta stay positive. Other teams are playing their best because of this generation of athletes, not just Clark, but she is a significant proponent.
This loss is on the team. When your opponents are getting 2nd or 3rd chances at the basketball will not win many games. Missing layup is not helping either. Boston look slow. CC needs to be more physical and better defend. Mitchell can’t shoot.

That refs reviewed the critical call because the fever coach called for the review with the game tied and only 20 seconds or so left. All game the Sun team (a notorious hard hitting shoulder attacking team) was using moving screens a lot. The ref looked at it for a long time and then got huffy and said the original call was correct. In the film the entire crowd saw the feet move and the should area of the screener moved onto the Fever player. After looking at the film the ref stood back being aggravated by the crowd and decided a close game on that incorrect call.

I believe the charged timeout for the lost challenge cost them the game. Otherwise they could have had the ball in the forecourt to tie or win the game.
I only watched maybe a third of the game, but what stuck out to me was how few screens are being set for CC. Maybe every 5th touch she gets a screen. She has to create space to shoot and drive on her own. Sure, she gets doubled a lot, so set multiple screens. Even if she doesn't get a good look, she's an incredible passer, so her assists go up with pick-n-rolls. No reason CC doesn't get 25 PPG and 10 APG. Heard a rumor or a joking comment that Sides could be replaced by Lisa Bluder! Fantastic idea! There's a coach who knows how to build an offense that maximizes the strengths of all 5 on the floor when one of them is a super star!

My thoughts are that Caitlin Clark needs other supporting players who are consistent enough in their play that they can make teams pay for double teaming Clark. Right now, other teams don't fear the other players. CC passes into the corner and the player shoots an air ball. At other time, Caitlin fires a pass to one of her other players and they fumble the ball or they miss the easy layup. These things have to be cleaned up before Indiana is going to be able to use Caitlin as a real weapon against other teams. Caitlin also has to take better care of the ball when she's handling it.

Well, she’s not really shooting that much. Last 3 games, she has not had the most FGAs. But, funny, some haters would have you believe she is a ball hog! If I was the coach, I would want her to shoot at least 20 shots per game. Know she got hurt so didn’t play as much, but she only shot something like 11 times.
