Zombies can’t breathe underwater. If a zombie dies underwater, the zombie will become a drowned. But if this video Mikey and JJ are zombies, The mod will never let them drown. If in your world you dig to bedrock and fill that whole thing with water and spawn a zombie inside, for a bit of time it will become a drowned. And this is why Mikey and JJ could breathe underwater. (I know all of this because I play Minecraft).

JJ, actually Drowned cannot be there if Zombies did not drown. Zombies drown and then becomes Drown. This happens mainly at day time as at night time they come to attack a village or player.
