@@johnsobey4261Doesn’t really matter, umpires can still throw you out of the game for that whether or not it was intentional. You can’t be throwing fastballs at the head right after a homerun.

I've checked the granular pitch-by-pitch data and I'm willing to concede that Pearson was probably not intentionally throwing at Stephenson, his control with his sinker to righties has been absolutely shocking this year and being on tilt from giving up that moonshot wouldn't have helped that.
You’ve gotta stop throwing it inside then, especially first pitch. Too much tail on a two seamer to take a chance like that, the batter can’t get out of the way

I don't know the exact language of the interference rule. I feel like I've seen batters called for much much less than what Marte did. At the same time, I'm glad that wasn't called interference. If a guy literally stumbling to catch himself is called interference, I feel like we have a problem.
