i tend to use a mix but on this occasion burned just columbian all day. Usually i burn anthracite beans mixed with a little house coal for a more active fire
@@mattseymour8637 as long as you control the depth of fire and have a very active fire with enough secondary air going through, the smoke can be controlled to slight. build a thick inactive fire and shut the doors and it does smoke a little heavier but cleaner than the standard dirty house coals. hope that helps 😊

on this occasion Matt it is actually columbian house coal, a cleaner burning bituminous coal that has a long flame
