i didn't know him at all before this show, but i got quickly attached to amotti, something about his vibe and bright energy is really getting to me, i hope he makes it far. plus his smile is so gorgeous hehe

I said the same thing!! I was like why did the MMA guy pick the one black dude there. I mean, he tried to keep that ball away the best he could too, but MMA guys are built different. Ugh. Man, last season the black guy got all the way towards the end 😢

There's definitely a respect aspect, but another angle is "how often does the opportunity of going 1v1 against a legend in MMA, wrestling, etc. just fall by your feet and all you have to do to ensure that fight is to choose them?"
Honestly, probably not that frequent of an opportunity, which is why the 1v1 deathmatch from Season 1 I enjoyed the most was the one where both players agreed that whoever wins the MMA match, moves forward to the next round.
Plus, there is absolutely the aspect that watching the same fight of holding the ball and desperately refusing to let the other one get it gets kind of old and boring. Great you're on the ground with the ball in your arms like so many other matches out of the 50 total. The ones where there was at least some running/chasing were different enough from hunkering down to be interesting, but a true 1v1 MMA match is great in its own way.
There's also the reality that while having the ball first is an advantage, at the end of the match, the only thing that matters is who has it at the end of the 3 minutes, not who held it the longest, which is why I don't see a problem with them wresting and killing time because the ball doesn't look light.

I had absolutely no idea about this! I'd watch for sure but I hope It would focus strictly on the competition. American reality series tend to focus too much on petty drama and hookups, I just want to see them compete!

Tbh I liked season 1 better idk y because all my faves made it to quest 2. This season most ppl I liked got eliminated like the girl from singles inferno and Emmanuel 🙃like they chose the finest black man to compete on this show just to get eliminated in quest 1😂

I mean if we’re being honest most of the people we were rooting for probably weren’t gonna make it far anyway. It is a battle for strength and unfortunately ppl like SoYeon were just not gonna make it far regardless. I was just happy to see faces even if it was short lived. I think I can still appreciate the show bc I can find someone else to root for ya know.

I am! The show is doing well here. It's ranked top 10 tv shows in Netflix US right now! I think the first season was a hit in the states last year so it continues to build popularity.
